Job Summary
The Financial Analyst will build detailed financial models to help management decide between various business opportunities. Research products, markets, and technologies to help support the company’s strategic plan, and prepare professional presentations incorporating financial information for a variety of company stakeholders.
Essential Duties
- Builds complex financial models to help decide between alternate business opportunities.
- Provides creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
- Assembles and summarizes data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks.
- Conducts research as needed by management on various products, markets, and technologies that the company is considering.
- Assists Financial Planning and Analysis Manager with the preparation of the annual budget and updating the monthly pro forma.
- Performs due diligence on potential acquisition targets, partners, or counterparties.
- Prepares quarterly presentations for the company's board.
- Compiles/prepares company data related to due diligence requests from current and/or potential stakeholders (e.g., banks, investors, board of directors, etc.).
- Consults with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision-making.
- Works closely with the accounting team and other functional teams to provide financial analysis and financial expertise in support of initiatives.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Due to the nature of this work the position requires a significant presence in the office. There is limited opportunity for remote work in this role.

Education
Required
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Finance from an accredited university.
Preferred
- Graduate Degree in Finance or a MBA from an accredited university.
Experience
Required
- 2 years experience as a Financial Analyst.
Preferred
- 4 years experience performing Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) company valuations.
- 4 years experience going through the Initial Public Offering (IPO) process in a financial role.
- Honorably discharged service veterans are preferred.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Outstanding reporting and communication skills.
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis.
- Informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments.
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements.
- High proficiency in financial modeling techniques.
- Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions.
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
- Skilled in writing with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
- Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Curious, motivated, and creative, with the desire to constantly grow.
- Possess a positive and energetic self-starter attitude, with excellent drive, ambition and work ethic.
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively and maintain timeline and deadlines.
