Leidos has an opening in our Digital Modernization Sector for a talented and energetic Senior Financial Analyst Lead to work with the best and brightest employees around the country in creating innovative all-encompassing solutions for our programs. This is a key contributor role for a Leidos focus program with total contract value of $2.5B and annual revenue north of $200M that delivers IT solutions to our NASA customer.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting (net bookings, revenue, OI/fee and cash), and effectively managing financial risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with program team and across Leidos functions to define program goals, establish budget, and prepare and maintain EAC by analyzing progress reported against the program baseline and ETC.
Make recommendations to leadership for making business decisions and significant improvements in programs, processes, and solutions to enhance results.
Proposal involvement (pricing and cost volume leadership) and building internal and external relationships to grow the program and achieve strategic goals.
Continuously drive reporting process and system enhancements to increase speed, consistency and accuracy of KPI reporting, utilizing expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced principles, and concepts of a professional family
Support ad-hoc cost reporting and performance analysis.
Please Note: This is a 100% telework position.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting OR related field and 8+ years of experience OR a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Able to perform functions such as financial planning, financial analysis, and general accounting.
Must be able to extract data from multiple sources and effectively summarize the current financial position of the program.
Have expert knowledge of the project finance field and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments independently. This position requires a problem solver that can pull together knowledge from a broad range of subjects to produce thorough analysis of multifaceted, challenging issues, and use those analyses to find solutions.
Be committed to customer service, be well organized, be able to plan and prioritize assignments, and be able to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, be courteous and professional.
Have the ability to work with remote teams and in a fast-paced environment.
Propose and implement project/program improvements.
Strong background in the entire Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel, particularly in the development of formulas, v-lookups, and macros.
Demonstrate advanced analytical skills.
Positive can-do attitude, excellent communication, and problem solving skills.
US Citizenship is required.
Able to obtain at minimum Public Trust security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Leidos Financial Systems such as Costpoint, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Cognos, Power BI, and ServiceNow.
Microsoft Excel (Advanced Level).
Please Note: The program budget salary for this role could fall anywhere between $100,000 to $110,000 with a slight wiggle room (no guarantees) based on relevant experience and assessment.
