About you
You’re a finance systems professional who thrives at the intersection of technology, accounting, and business operations. You know how to make financial systems talk to each other — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and automation along the way. You’re curious and adaptable — the kind of person who’s energized by learning new tools and mastering them.
A note about Zuora: This role will work at the intersection of NetSuite and Zuora. It’s okay if you have not worked in Zuora Revenue (RevPro) yet. We are looking for someone who is excited to learn the platform through hands-on involvement during implementation — alongside our consulting partner.
If you enjoy translating accounting needs into system logic and love building clean, scalable financial processes, this is your kind of role.
About your Skills
- Finance Systems Expertise: You understand NetSuite ERP workflows, accounting processes, and system dependencies.
- Revenue Automation Curiosity: You’re excited to master Zuora Revenue through hands-on experience.
- Process Discipline: You keep your systems clean, your documentation up to date, and your close process smooth.
- Cross-Functional Partnering: You speak both accounting and tech — and can translate between them seamlessly.
- Continuous Learning: You see every implementation as a growth opportunity.
About this role
As a Finance Systems Business Analyst (NetSuite + Revenue Automation), you’ll be a critical member of Udemy’s Finance Systems team, supporting the implementation of Zuora Revenue (RevPro) and the ongoing management of NetSuite.
You’ll work side-by-side with our implementation partner, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure that our new revenue automation solution aligns with Udemy’s business requirements and accounting policies. You’ll gain deep expertise in RevPro through hands-on participation in configuration reviews, testing, and process validation — and ultimately become the system owner post go-live.
This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their systems expertise, learn from a top-tier implementation, and help shape the backbone of Udemy’s financial automation ecosystem.
What you'll be doing:
- Serve as the internal business systems owner during the Zuora Revenue (RevPro) implementation, partnering with external consultants, Accounting, and IT.
- Learn RevPro’s configuration, data flows, and reporting model to build post–go-live ownership capability.
- Participate in requirements gathering, design validation, and UAT to ensure alignment with Udemy’s revenue recognition policies (ASC 606).
- Troubleshoot data and journal flow issues between RevPro and NetSuite.
- Build and maintain reconciliations, reports, and SQL queries to support Accounting and Finance decision-making.
- Support SOX compliance, documentation, and audit requests. Drive continuous improvement in system design, automation, and scalability.
- Ensure accurate and timely generation of journal entries from RevPro and their successful posting into NetSuite.
- Maintain process documentation, system SOPs, and change control logs.
What you’ll have
- 5+ years of experience in finance systems, accounting operations, or ERP administration roles.
- 3+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience (configuration, integrations, or close support).
- Working understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) and SaaS/subscription models.
- Strong analytical and SQL/reporting skills.
- Curiosity and drive to learn Zuora Revenue (RevPro) — willingness to pursue certification post go-live is required.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and audit processes.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with a strong sense of ownership during close cycles.
