Sprout Social is looking to hire a Senior Field Marketing Manager (Verticals) to the Marketing team.

The Senior Field Marketing Manager (Verticals) plays a key role in building, developing and executing our Verticals and ABM strategy. This role is critical in shaping how we engage priority industries, influence executive decision-makers, and accelerate revenue across our key vertical accounts.

We’re looking for someone with deep experience designing and executing programs that engage Enterprise audiences, shape industry perception, and accelerate revenue. This person will own the strategy and execution of vertical-specific and account-based initiatives—balancing awareness, pipeline creation, and deal acceleration across our most strategic accounts.

Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering the right mix of executive experiences, targeted campaigns, and compelling narratives that resonate with full and deep buying committees. They thrive in building from the ground up, and use both data and new market trends to continually refine and elevate our approach.

They are curious, creative, and comfortable operating in the gray—unafraid to test, learn, and adapt quickly. They are passionate about building impactful programs, collaborating across sales and marketing, and shaping a plan that drives ambitious growth. Just as importantly, they bring the leadership and vision to help us scale a best-in-class ABM and vertical marketing motion.

Why join Sprout’s Marketing team?

At Sprout Social, we don’t just market products—we set the pace for how breakthrough brands connect with the world. We are social intelligence powering the future of customer connection, and our Marketing team is a driving force behind turning that vision into reality. We put our customers at the heart of our strategy to drive market leadership, generate demand and increase customer retention, all in close partnership with our Sales and CX teams. We lead with clarity, act with speed and measure success by the business results we create. Here, you’ll have the freedom to test bold ideas, learn fast and shape the future—not only for Sprout, but for the global brands we empower. If you’re ready to set the bar higher, own your impact and accelerate your career, this is where you belong.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and own go-to-market plans for priority verticals, grounded in data, customer pain points, and competitive positioning.
  • Lead 1:1, 1:few, and scaled ABM programs aligned to priority accounts.
  • Build messaging frameworks and value propositions tailored to executive buyers and buying committees within each vertical and partner with product marketing to ensure vertical-specific content, case studies, and playbooks are readily available.
  • Collaborate with sales to identify target accounts and opportunities for personalized engagement.
  • Design integrated campaigns (events, digital, direct mail, executive programs) to influence pipeline and accelerate deal cycles.
  • Track, analyze, and optimize ABM campaign performance, sharing insights and recommendations with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with field marketing to deliver high-touch experiences that connect to vertical priorities.
  • Define KPIs and measure program performance (pipeline influence, account engagement, deal acceleration, ROI).
  • Regularly report results and insights to marketing and sales leadership + marketing peers by monitoring performance via marketing dashboards and analysis tools.

What you’ll bring

You are a true partner to both sales and marketing—collaborating across the organization to design vertical-specific and account-based programs that fuel pipeline, accelerate opportunities, and create a seamless customer buying journey. You combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, balancing big-picture thinking with an eye for detail.

You bring a data-driven mindset, continuously testing, measuring, and optimizing to ensure every program delivers measurable business impact. At the same time, you thrive on building creative, differentiated experiences that resonate with executive buyers and buying committees in our most strategic vertical accounts. Ultimately, you help elevate our vertical and ABM strategy, acting as a connector, innovator, and driver of growth across the enterprise.

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • 8-10 years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 4 years in ABM or a vertical-focused role.
  • Proven track record of building and executing successful ABM programs that drive measurable pipeline.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles, buying committees, and executive engagement.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience developing industry-specific messaging.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who can align stakeholders and drive execution.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using ABM platforms (e.g., 6sense) and CRM/marketing automation tools (Salesforce, Marketo, etc.).

How you’ll grow

Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:

  • Completing Sprout’s product and vertical/industry training to deepen your understanding of our solutions and how we create value for Enterprise accounts.
  • Partnering with your manager to define success metrics tied to vertical marketing and ABM impact.
  • Conducting initial 1:1s with sales, product marketing, and other strategic partners to understand vertical priorities and how marketing can accelerate revenue.
  • Learning our market messages, vertical value propositions, and ideal customer profiles.
  • Aligning with the field marketing teams on a vertical and ABM plan for Q1.

Gaining fluency in our martech stack, reporting tools, and processes so you have the right foundations to be successful.

Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:

  • Applying experience, research and industry-trend insights to shape a POV on how to evolve our vertical and ABM strategies.
  • Building recommendations for how to expand marketing support for geo-specific and vertically aligned sales teams.
  • Partnering with Rev, Marketing and Sales Ops to determine how best to measure and report on vertical and ABM program outcomes.

Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:

  • Becoming a core member of cross-functional planning teams, designing vertical campaigns and ABM programs that accelerate outbound motions and influence pipeline.
  • Rolling out best-in-class vertical programs and personalized ABM motions, including curated executive experiences, vertical roundtables, 3rd party conferences, and targeted digital outreach.
  • Regularly updating and iterating on vertical go-to-market strategies with aligned sales leaders, reviewing campaign performance, growth opportunities, and program roadmaps.

Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:

  • Acting as the subject matter expert on our vertical markets and ABM strategy.
  • Designing bespoke 1:1, 1:few and 1:many ABM plans for strategic accounts to deepen executive relationships and drive measurable pipeline impact.

Note: The outlined timeline above represents an ideal scenario. Flexibility may be required based on business needs and additional projects as determined by your manager.
