Ping Identity is seeking a proactive, forward-thinking Senior Field Marketing & Demand Generation Manager to support our U.S. Public Sector business—including Federal, State & Local, and Education markets. This remote role is pivotal in shaping and executing marketing strategies and programs that directly impact pipeline creation and revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the public sector ecosystem, current trends, and buying dynamics. You’re experienced in field and channel marketing across digital, ABM, and event-based campaigns—and you know how to translate market realities into compelling programs that resonate with government audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Ownership

  • Own the marketing-sourced pipeline number for the Americas Public Sector business
  • Partner with sales on total pipeline targets
  • Lead weekly pipeline reviews and represent marketing strategy and forecasts in all sales and business review calls

Sales Alignment

  • Collaborate closely with Public Sector sales and channel leaders to define joint objectives and prioritize initiatives that drive pipeline growth

Planning, Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute the Public Sector field marketing strategy—covering both direct and indirect campaigns with priority partners
  • Align efforts with broader sales and marketing objectives

Program Development

  • Build and execute high-impact campaigns, including ABM initiatives, digital programs, executive briefings, webinars, in-person and virtual events, and industry tradeshows

Budget Management

  • Own the annual field marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and forecast attainment

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner across teams (events, digital, product marketing, SDRs, ops, etc.) to ensure strong campaign execution, lead follow-up, and pipeline conversion

Performance & Analytics

  • Use data and insights to continuously improve campaign performance and ROI
  • Track, measure, and report on KPIs related to engagement, pipeline impact, and conversion

Skills & Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus
  • 7+ years in demand generation, with at least 3 years focused on the Public Sector
  • Background in security, IT, or enterprise software preferred
  • Deep familiarity with public sector ecosystem, trends, procurement models, and partner landscape
  • Proven experience with field, channel, and partner marketing programs (to-, through-, and with-partner)
  • Hands-on expertise with Salesforce, Marketo, and platforms like 6sense or similar for intent and analytics
  • Strong analytical mindset—comfortable using data to inform decisions and optimize performance
  • Highly organized with excellent project management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communicator with a bias for action and a drive for excellence
  • Collaborative and responsive—able to work seamlessly with sales, execs, and cross-functional partners
  • Able to travel up to 10%

USA: $145,000 to $165,000
In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
