ABOUT THE ROLE

Autodesk’s Executive Search team engages and hires game-changing leaders who shape the future of Autodesk, the design and make industry, and deliver on our valued culture. 

As a member of Autodesk’s Executive Search team, you will enable and drive our approach to hire critical leadership roles and deepen our knowledge of the dynamic landscape for top talent in the market via market research and candidate engagement.  You are well-connected in the external executive talent ecosystem and comfortable driving and owning the external sourcing strategy for executive leadership talent within Autodesk. This opportunity will allow you to be innovative in your approach to map and connect with the external marketplace and develop sourcing strategies to target and assess top executive talent. 

This role can be based in the U.S. or Canada and can be 100% remote. 

Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to the execution of executive-level (Director, Senior Director, VP/SVP/EVP) searches, including the development of the search strategy and target lists, research, sourcing, candidate development, and assessment. 
  • Lead and execute full lifecycle Director-level searches across the Autodesk organization, providing strong and effective consultation to stakeholders throughout the search process. 
  • Work with senior leaders on high-profile executive hires, creating leadership search strategies across a variety of functions with a focus on identifying, engaging and assessing remarkable leaders, and advising on candidate profiles. 
  • Build relationships with executive talent in the global marketplace by sourcing passive candidates through research, internal and external networking, and direct outreach. 
  • Responsible for candidate outreach, initial candidate engagement, and assessment using our best practice framework, and for sharing and documenting your findings and assessments with the lead executive recruiter on the team and the hiring manager. 
  • Possess strong business acumen, allowing you to provide talent market insights, and advise on best hiring practices and hiring location strategies. 
  • Evaluate and present leadership talent to senior management, hiring managers, and People Business Partners (Human Resources) across Autodesk. 
  • Employ a data-driven approach to summarize talent metrics to help guide strategic hiring decisions. 
  • Guide executive candidates through Autodesk's hiring process and connect them to our industry-leading products, showcasing our culture and dynamic strategies that make Autodesk a successful software enterprise and a valued employer. 
  • Build and promote a more inclusive, accessible, and equitable Autodesk by aligning to our best hiring practices including ideating and executing an inclusive hiring strategy. 
  • Build productive, trusted relationships across the executive search team, the talent team, and the people team, ensuring seamless delivery of our services alongside key functional partners like people business partners and compensation. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 
  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting, research, and candidate outreach and assessment, with 2+ of those years in executive recruiting. 
  • Well-versed in executive search, including search/market strategy, honing successful pitches, creative candidate sourcing, candidate generation, candidate development, and stakeholder management.
  • Project management and organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands and stakeholders. 
  • Experience using ATS/CRM recruiting systems and a variety of recruiting resources. 
  • Proven ability to leverage a data-driven approach to make hiring decisions and to synthesize talent metrics to help drive strategic hiring decisions. 
  • Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to provide trusted advice throughout the search process.
