JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Enterprise Solution Architect is an experienced technology practitioner responsible for leading the solution design within one or more architecture domains of practice to ensure the technical architecture and capabilities are able to support the Business and realize their strategy, goals and objectives. The Senior Enterprise Solution Architect is a subject matter expert (SME) within their domain(s) and an influential role which provides conceptual technology designs, capability adoption roadmaps and implementation guidance to IT teams as required.
This role champions architecture principles, creation and utilization of architecture standards and their relevant implementation guidance. This role provides technical leadership and acumen to project teams through efficient solution and conceptual designs.
The Senior Enterprise Solution Architect is part of the Enterprise Architecture team, jointly responsible for architecture governance across architecture domains, and an advocate to drive forward technology standards that span multiple business lines and technologies. They will work with IT functions and project teams, internal customers, Enterprise Architecture, Solution Delivery and Operations colleagues. The role is a key contributor position within the Enterprise Architecture/Solution Architecture team who reports to the CIO of Driven Brands.
What you’ll Drive:Lead the development of solution designs and implementation guidance for project teams.
Assist in determining Destination Architectures, Reference Architectures (lifecycle planning and governance), Architectural Standards and the development of Usage guidelines to enable delivery capabilities.
Lead the solution and conceptual design of DRVN technologies and capabilities, keeping abreast of market trends and Solution Vendors to determine their potential impact and value to the enterprise.
Encourages innovation for the defined architecture domains.
Assist Enterprise Architects in the research and development of Enterprise Standards and Architecture Roadmaps in conjunction with business process partners and strategy teams.
Lead the specification of capability adoption roadmaps over 3 to 5-year technology plans based on business strategies and Architecture Roadmaps.
Organize priorities and provide insights and guidance to Technology Review Boards led by Enterprise Architects to jointly evaluate, establish, publish and refresh DRVN standards.
Provide technical and architecture consulting as needed to Business, Business Alignment and Solution Delivery Teams.
Provide Architecture Diagrams and conceptual solution design guidance to project teams.
Serve as escalation point, subject matter expert, review, and approve key issues for projects that leverage DRVN architecture standards
Bachelors Degree plus 5-12 years of IT experience OR Master Degree plus 5 years of IT experience.
Experience in large corporate environment with a complex architecture, including global initiatives.
0-3+ years in an IT Operations/Solution Delivery role.
3+ years working as Enterprise / Solution Architect in an architecture team.
Experience developing, modifying, and executing IT solution designs to support the business.
Strong organizational planning and development, project management, technical leadership, business acumen and communication skills to lead a global cross-functional technology team.
Thrive in a result driven environment with passion to innovate and with fast acting decision-making abilities and an Agile mindset.
Proven track record of devising technology strategies that align with business strategies and successful implementations.
Ability to influence strategic direction of senior leadership.
Working knowledge of systems architectural concepts and frameworks like TOGAF preferred.
Working knowledge of systems delivery methodologies and frameworks such as SAFe is preferred.
Other relevant domain certification(s) are preferred.
