The role
Nebius is searching for a Senior Enterprise Networks Engineer with strong automation skills to design, implement, and optimize enterprise networks in the US region, including wired, wireless, and VPN infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise wired and wireless networks for the US region, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability
- Own and maintain network connectivity between branch offices around the world, partnering with global teams to standardize architecture and operations
- Manage and ensure the reliable operation of remote access systems (VPN), including capacity planning, resiliency, and continuous improvements
- Deploy, maintain, and continuously improve automation and monitoring tools; define best practices and drive automation-first operations
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including cross-region and cross-provider incidents; perform root cause analysis and implement preventative measures
- Test, evaluate, and introduce new equipment and emerging technologies; contribute findings and recommendations into global R&D streams
- Collaborate with telecom service providers in the US and globally; lead escalations, manage SLAs, and drive service improvements
We expect you to have:
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP technologies
- Familiarity with dynamic routing protocols
- Experience in automation using Python, Go, or other popular programming languages (ability to design and maintain production-grade automation)
- Proficiency in Unix system administration
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Aruba, Arista, Extreme, Juniper)
- Strong ability to work independently, owning outcomes end-to-end in a senior/lead capacity
It will be an added bonus if you have:
- Experience with network automation frameworks like Ansible, Terraform, NetBox, Nornir, or SaltStack
- Experience designing, developing, and operating high-load distributed systems
- Experience building high-density enterprise wireless networks (CWNA level or higher)
- Working knowledge of IPv6
