This high caliber engineering team supports the Boeing Laser Electro-Optical Systems business, Starfire Optical Range (SOR), and other Proprietary programs. The AEOS Engineering Department designs, builds, and operates state-of-the-art electro-optical systems including active EO technologies for critical national security missions.

You will define the technical vision, develop people and processes, and ensure our programs deliver mission-ready systems on-time with first time quality. - Lead and develop a diverse team of engineers and first-line managers working across electro-optical systems, active EO technologies, sensors, algorithms, and integration & test.
- Set strategy and roadmaps for AEOS capabilities; translate mission needs into executable plans, budgets, and measurable outcomes.
- Establish and improve engineering processes, tools, and metrics that drive technical excellence, on-contract performance, and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical oversight of architectures, designs, analyses, integration/test plans, and verification/validation activities.
- Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders; represent AEOS in technical and program reviews and executive briefings.
- Acquire and allocate resources; ensure training, skills development, and readiness to execute statements of work.
- Foster an inclusive, psychologically safe culture where employees feel empowered to raise safety, quality, and schedule concerns early.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 5+ years of experience leading or managing an engineering project or team.
- Product development and systems engineering experience.
