As the Senior Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward our mission of helping people learn by leading a dynamic team of software engineers who will support tutor retention and engagement initiatives by driving the right tutor behaviors and best-in-class face-to-face tutoring experience.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of successful leadership experience  
  • At-scale technical architecture - you’ve designed and built complex yet performant systems. 
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern development tools.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and projects effectively.
  • Experienced with AI-native tools that enhance productivity and speed (Cursor, Make.com, Supabase, Netlify, Claude Code, n8n, Firecrawl, ChatGPT, Grok, Bolt, Vercel, etc).
  • A strong desire to learn and a passion for educational technology

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the operation and innovation of the technology platform helping thousands of students be the best they can be.
  • Provide direction and oversight on technical architectures and systems design. 
  • Support our engineering staff’s daily feeding and care: championing objectives, monitoring progress, and removing blockers. 
  • Continually monitor, improve and optimize your teams’ performance - the humans on your team and the systems they’ve created.
