Senior eLearning Developer

Location: Remote – USA
Compensation: $65,000–$75,000 annually
Start Date: Immediately
Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior eLearning Developer with expert-level Articulate Storyline 360 skills and strong visual/UI/UX capabilities. This person will independently design and develop complex, highly interactive, and visually polished learning experiences from storyboards through final delivery.

The ideal candidate has strong technical and creative skills across eLearning development, animation, multimedia, accessibility, LMS/SCORM standards, and web-based custom interactions. Experience using AI/GenAI tools, automation, and AI-assisted development is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop advanced L3/L4 eLearning experiences using Articulate Storyline 360.

  • Build complex scenarios, branching interactions, simulations, and custom learning experiences.

  • Translate storyboards into engaging, visually sophisticated learning solutions with minimal supervision.

  • Apply strong UI/UX, visual design, animation, and motion principles.

  • Develop and troubleshoot custom web-based interactions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Ensure learning experiences meet WCAG accessibility standards and technical requirements.

  • Prepare and troubleshoot courses for LMS/SCORM deployment.

  • Conduct detailed visual, functional, and technical QA.

  • Solve complex development challenges independently and identify creative solutions.

  • Collaborate with instructional designers, project managers, and other creative/technical team members as needed.

  • Explore and apply emerging AI and automation tools to improve the eLearning development process.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Expert-level Articulate 360 / Storyline 360 experience.

  • Advanced L3/L4 eLearning development experience.

  • Strong UI/UX and visual design skills.

  • Proven experience developing scenario-based and branched learning.

  • Strong understanding of animation and motion design principles.

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Understanding of WCAG and accessible eLearning development.

  • Strong knowledge of SCORM and LMS environments.

  • Excellent visual QA and attention to detail.

  • Ability to independently interpret storyboards and visualize the final learning experience.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Experience creating custom web-based interactions.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with Claude, ChatGPT, or other GenAI tools in an eLearning workflow.

  • Figma.

  • Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Basic After Effects or Premiere Pro experience.

  • Lectora.

  • xAPI / cmi5.

  • AI-generated images and video.

  • Experience with automation or AI-assisted development workflows.

What We're Looking For

Someone who can go beyond simply building courses in Storyline—someone who can take a concept or storyboard, visualize the experience, solve technical challenges, and independently deliver a polished, high-end eLearning product.
