Job Summary:

The Senior Editor Specialist will be responsible for editing content, assisting in content production, and other assigned responsibilities. As a member of the SEO Content Marketing team, your primary objective is student lead generation for online education. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Edit SEO content and other content as needed 

  • Support content purchase order creation, writing, and publishing schedules for content marketing best practices 

  • Write content articles as assigned while aligning content with university partner goals 

  • Collaborate with Content Marketing, SEO, and Product teams to ensure cohesive messaging across multiple platforms 

  • In addition to basic proofreading and editing, ensure all content is well-structured, well-researched, and plagiarism-free 

  • Perform keyword research to identify content opportunities across industries and partners 

  • Manage input from key internal stakeholders on edits and gaining approvals 

  • Ensure available content is properly leveraged throughout the organization (including updating outdated content and/or repurposing content) 

  • Ensure that all marketing assets are consistent with overall business objectives and reflect Risepoint's style and voice 

  • Support the creation of monthly social media content calendars for multiple partners using published content 

  • Provide ad hoc reporting as needed 

  

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required; preferably in business, marketing, communications, or related field of study

  • Expert writing, editing, and communication skills

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with content development and writing operations 

  • Intermediate SEO experience and knowledge in keyword research and general analysis 

  • Experience with WordPress and other content management systems 

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills. Workfront knowledge is a plus. 

  • Ability to operate under pressure, within tight deadlines, and in a dynamic environment 

  • Demonstration of strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, including good grammar, spelling, punctuation, and attention to detail
