Senior Director, Software Engineering

Rapid7 is looking for a strategic technology leader to build and scale our engineering teams in Pune, India. As our Sr. Director of Engineering, you will drive engineering strategy and execution, focusing on operational excellence, resiliency, and quality to help create a secure digital world for over 11,000 organizations.

About the Role
In this role, you will lead our Vulnerability Management engineering responsible for supporting thousands of customers in closing the security achievement gap. You will shape product architecture, foster a culture of collaboration and leadership growth, and ensure we deliver the best possible outcomes for the security community. You will be a key driver in expanding our global footprint, ensuring our engineering teams thrive as we continue to scale our newest location.
In this role, you will:

• Set the bar and drive accountability for operational excellence, resilience, performance, and quality initiatives across the organization.
• Partner closely with Product Management, UX, and other stakeholders to establish strategy and roadmap commitments.
• Develop and maintain technical strategy and execution plans to achieve roadmap goals while driving high-fidelity delivery standards.
• Grow and develop technical and leadership skills locally and across the organization to create a thriving culture for both individual contributors and leaders.
• Invest in recruiting and mentoring the current and future stars of the engineering organization as the company continues to scale.
• Engage directly with customers to incorporate feedback and remove friction from their product experience.
• Ensure scalable development, testing, and deployment processes to maintain and improve product reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with support and cross-functional teams to ensure customers have a seamless experience.

• 10+ years of global development and agile engineering leadership experience at scale.
• Technical Expertise: A proven track record of building, delivering, and running complex enterprise-class SaaS at scale.
• Organizational Leadership: Experience growing and developing a diverse, distributed, and thriving team of leaders and engineers.
• Collaboration: The ability to influence cross-functional partners in product management, support, and strategy to ensure alignment on customer success.
• Results Oriented: A history of leading teams to build and ship high-quality platforms in a fast-paced, continuous deployment environment.
