As Senior Director of Sales, Insights, you'll lead growth for Tendo's Insights portfolio, empowering health systems to improve quality, documentation, and performance through data-driven insights and AI. This role combines strategic selling, market leadership, and deep healthcare expertise to accelerate adoption of Tendo's solutions nationwide. Tendo's Senior Director of Sales for Insights is responsible for growth of Tendo's Insights products within a specific territory.
This leader will sell Tendo's Insights offerings, which focus on Quality Documentation Improvement and Analytics, with the intent of improving quality scores and rankings. The Insights AI solution includes software and tech-enabled services to support our offerings in those areas. They will work to drive Tendo's competitive position in the market and support sales growth, while engaging with Tendo's product teams on product strategy, roadmap, and differentiators. They will be mostly responsible for new logo acquisition with an emphasis on prospecting, then expansion of new accounts after the initial sale is complete.

Responsibilities
- Drive the acquisition of net new opportunities of Tendo’s Insights solutions by leading the full sales cycle, from prospecting to close, with an emphasis on strategic new logo acquisition.
- Leverage existing and build new networks of healthcare professionals focused on Quality, Documentation Improvement, and Analytics.
- Understand the current market, competitors, and differentiators necessary to win business and deliver results, utilizing structured market segmentation, targeted account lists, and key stakeholder profiles.
- Develop a pipeline for acquiring new customers through self-driven prospecting.
- Lead meetings, including mastering “the pitch,” to drive new opportunities forward.
- Lead the contracting process and act as the “quarterback” for individual Insights deals to drive to close.
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets for the assigned territory.
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and account documentation in Salesforce.
- Represent Tendo’s Insights products at key industry conferences, positioning Tendo as a trusted partner and thought leader in quality improvement and analytics and generate new leads.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare sales, business development, or consulting roles focused on enterprise or mid-market health systems.
- Proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals in health systems.
- Deep understanding of healthcare quality, documentation improvement (CDI), and analytic domains.
- Experience working with C-suite and VP-level healthcare executives during both sales and delivery processes.
- Recognized as a leader within the healthcare industry with deep knowledge of industry best practices and needs.
- History of contributing to industry progress and expertise through publications and public speaking.
- Inherently optimistic, with the ability to motivate, advocate passionately for a vision and mission, and explain complex challenges in a way that is accessible and consumable.
- Demonstrated ability to generate positive and productive dialogue and connections with customers and industry thought leaders.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling SaaS or AI-powered solutions.
- Familiarity with Tendo’s ecosystem or similar healthcare technology platforms.
Base Salary Range
$127,500-$172,500
This salary range is offered with the understanding that final compensation is based on a number of factors including geography and experience. Tendo also offers an equity package, annual bonuses, and benefits. In addition to the base salary, this role provides a variable compensation package tied to sales achievements.
