A dynamic and highly capable Sales Director will work closely with the BU President to build and expand the PeerDirect business in the US. The ultimate objective is to deliver against sales targets and contribute to the year on year growth of the business.
What you will doDriving business growth through direct sales to a diversified client base, encompassing the following:
- Achieve sales of circa US$ 1 million by the end of Yr1 through selling existing PeerDirect services.
- To organically develop business, at minimum, with 5 new accounts within the first 12 months.
- Work closely with the PeerDirect team to ensure effective coverage of key therapy areas.
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of accounts for the Business Unit (BU) that ensures no individual client account represents >15% of the BU’s overall business.
- To write and deliver compelling proposals and presentations for assigned accounts in terms of maximizing revenue potential to ensure that new business opportunities are created and profitable working relationships are established
- Continuously scan the market environment to detect signals that represent potential business opportunities
- To work collegiately with other members of your immediate Business Unit and more widely across the Business Group to maximize opportunities with accounts
- Conform with the Business Unit and Groups policies and processes in relation to documenting accounts, this includes, but is not limited to, regular updates to the sales forecast and pipeline management tool
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to work independently as well as part of a team and will be comfortable in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Possess an ability to develop strong client relationships, whilst demonstrating good business acumen. Although there is an excellent base to start from, an entrepreneurial spirit is required to ensure we can develop our thinking, approach and strategy as we face the realities of a dynamic and changing market place.
- Candidates are expected to possess the drive to succeed and be driven and motivated by challenging, but achievable, targets
- Candidates must have a good understanding of the promotional marketing environment and be familiar with medical legal requirements
- The ideal candidate will be able to evidence a successful career to date (minimum of three years’ experience) of meeting targets a medical promotion or related business environment
