Company Overview:

Cascala Health is an early-stage, mission-driven healthcare technology company dedicated to revolutionizing care transitions. Our comprehensive platform facilitates meaningful engagement across care teams, activating personalized interventions to prevent hospital readmissions and promote long-term health for patients in risk-based care models.

About the Role:

We are hiring our first Senior Director of Product Marketing to build the marketing function from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CEO, this person will define how we communicate Cascala’s value to the world – crafting our positioning, messaging, and content strategy to engage skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), home health providers, and other post-acute care stakeholders. In the near term, a key priority will be evolving Cascala’s messaging to align with upcoming product developments focused on post-acute providers. This leader will translate complex product capabilities into compelling narratives and deliver high-impact collateral (from positioning frameworks and whitepapers to blog posts and sales decks) that drive market awareness and adoption.

As an early hire, the Sr. Director of Product Marketing must be both strategic and hands-on. We’re looking for a versatile marketer who can develop high-level go-to-market strategy and execute tactically on a day-to-day basis. You will manage a broad scope of marketing activities – adjusting quickly to new opportunities and business needs – while laying the foundation for a scalable marketing team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and accountable leader who works well autonomously and in cross-functional settings. You should excel at distilling product value props for different audiences (clinical, operational, financial) and be passionate about our mission to bridge gaps in care. Compensation includes a competitive salary and meaningful equity, reflecting the seniority and impact of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Messaging & Positioning: Develop and continually refine Cascala’s product positioning and messaging for target markets. Ensure our value proposition resonates with SNF administrators, home health agency leaders, and other key audiences by highlighting how Cascala solves their pain points and improves patient outcomes.
  • Content Strategy & Creation: Build Cascala’s thought leadership presence through high-quality content. Produce and oversee creation of whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, and thought leadership articles that showcase our expertise in care transitions and post-acute care. Maintain an editorial calendar (e.g. LinkedIn, blog, newsletters) to consistently engage our audience and elevate Cascala’s profile.
  • Sales Enablement: Equip our sales and customer success teams with effective marketing collateral. Create slide decks, one-pagers, product FAQs, and demo narratives that help communicate the product’s benefits and differentiation. Train internal teams on messaging usage to ensure consistency in market-facing conversations.
  • Market Research & Insights: Conduct market analysis to inform go-to-market strategy. Track industry trends in post-acute care and value-based care, monitor competitor messaging, and gather feedback from clients and prospects. Use these insights to adjust our marketing tactics and product positioning over time.
  • Product Launches: Partner closely with Product Management to plan and execute new feature or product launches. Develop launch messaging, update website and materials accordingly, and drive campaigns that communicate new capabilities to existing and prospective clients.
  • Brand & Demand Generation (Startup Scope): As the first marketing hire, wear multiple hats. Steer foundational branding initiatives (ensure our voice and visual identity are consistent) and collaborate on early demand-generation experiments. Manage Cascala’s social media presence (e.g. LinkedIn content calendar) and assist with PR/communications as needed. Adapt quickly to add focus on any marketing area that will move the needle for the business.
  • Strategic Planning: Work with the CEO and leadership team to define marketing OKRs and budgets. Lay down processes and metrics to measure marketing effectiveness (e.g. content engagement, lead generation from campaigns). Develop a roadmap for expanding the marketing team (such as hiring for growth marketing or communications roles) once initial frameworks are proven.

Qualifications:

  • Marketing Experience: 5-7 years of experience in product marketing, marketing strategy, or related roles, with significant experience in B2B SaaS or healthcare technology. Track record of crafting compelling product narratives and driving successful go-to-market launches.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Healthcare Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare providers and value-based care is highly preferred. Experience marketing to or working with post-acute care providers (SNFs, home health) or health systems gives you an edge in understanding our customers’ mindset.
  • Content & Communication Skills: Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities. Proven experience creating high-quality marketing content (e.g. whitepapers, thought leadership pieces, case studies) and distilling complex concepts into clear, impactful messages. Comfortable being the “editor-in-chief” for Cascala’s outward-facing content.
  • Strategic + Tactical Balance: Demonstrated ability to think strategically about market positioning and also execute tactically. You can develop a positioning framework one day and crank out a blog post or LinkedIn update the next. Hands-on proficiency with marketing tools (CMS, LinkedIn, analytics) and an eye for good design and branding are important.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with experience working closely with product managers, sales teams, and subject matter experts. Able to translate product features into customer benefits and train internal teams on how to deliver our messaging. A collaborative approach is a must, as this role interfaces across the organization.
  • Adaptability and Drive: Startup experience is required – you have thrived in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment before. Highly self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to pivot quickly as priorities change. You take accountability for results and consistently push projects to completion, even with limited resources.
  • Analytical Mindset: Data-driven approach to marketing. Comfortable defining success metrics for content and campaigns, and using analytics and user feedback to iterate on marketing strategy.
  • Mission Alignment: Passion for Cascala’s mission and the problems we are solving in care transitions. Mission-driven mindset with a desire to make a meaningful impact on healthcare outcomes through your work.
Bonus Skills:
  • Experience using Salesforce for CRM and pipeline management.
  • ACO, health plan, provider practice, and/or health system marketing experience.
