About the Role

Monks is looking to expand our creative service capabilities by hiring a full-time Senior Director of Creative Accounts. Reporting to the Group Director of Performance Creative, you will be a trailblazer helping to build the creative offering for a top performance marketing agency. You will partner with clients and our in-house team to develop creative that drives results. We are looking for someone who thrives in building client relationships, management of a quickly growing team, and the drive to deliver top-performing creative for our clients.

Responsibilities:

You’ll be responsible for growing and leading our Creative Account Services team, both from a client-facing and internal perspective. We are looking for someone with a passion for paid media creative who wants to join a fast-growing, fun digital agency that is hyper-focused on client performance and ROI. You’ll be working at the intersection of online advertising execution and fast start up growth. The ideal candidate is confident in their ability to drive improvements in account performance via creative, but also to manage and develop some of our awesome talent.

  • Serve as the main point of contact and client team lead for 1-2 of our largest creative accounts, and sponsor of your direct reports’ clients.
  • Build, manage, and maintain client relationships
  • Revenue & retention responsibilities for your accounts and your direct reports’ accounts
  • Drive overall account strategy and planning in collaboration with strategists and project managers
  • Able to build a narrative around creative performance drivers and next steps
  • Identify pain points and opportunities to evolve our service offering and how we work with clients, and put into action
  • Familiar with sensitive advertising groups such as cryptocurrency or healthcare
  • Management of our creative account services team, including producers, account leads and project managers
  • Excitement and drive to grow a team
  • Interest in internal operations and the inner works of a team that make it run smoothly and efficiently
About YouThe essentials:
  • 8+ years experience with leading either creative or paid media accounts, preferably at a performance-focused agency. At least 6 years of client-facing experience
  • 6+ years of management experience with teams of 3+
  • In-depth knowledge of paid media creative trends and best practices
  • Experience owning the hiring process, onboarding and conducting performance reviews for direct reports
  • Ability to handle tough client conversations and drive upsells + renewals
  • Ideally has experience with both B2B and B2C clients
  • 4 year college degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
Not a must, but a plus:
  • Experience with pricing, scoping and staffing
  • Pitching experience

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
