We are seeking an exceptional Senior Director, IT Business Partnering to redefine how enterprise technology drives transformation and impact at Curriculum Associates. This role is a senior leadership position at the intersection of strategy, execution, and influence—shaping enterprise direction and translating bold business ambition into technology-enabled outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a proven enterprise leader with strong business acumen, a track record of driving complex transformation, and the credibility to partner with executive stakeholders. This leader works closely with technology Centers of Excellence—including Salesforce, Workday, Microsoft/Azure, and Data & Insights—to unlock platform value in service of enterprise priorities.
Success in this role will be defined by disciplined governance, high adoption of enterprise capabilities, and sustained, measurable business impact that advances CA’s mission.
The impact you'll have:
Enterprise Business Leadership & Strategy
- Act as a senior technology thought partner to executive and senior leaders across Sales, Service, Marketing, Operations, Finance and other enterprise functions.
- Shape how enterprise technology enables business transformation by translating strategy into clear, outcome-driven technology direction.
- Anticipate future business needs and define enterprise capabilities required to support growth, scale, and long-term impact in B2B-focused environments.
- Set multi-year enterprise IT roadmaps that balance bold transformation with operational excellence and sustainability.
- Bring external perspective, market awareness, and industry best practices to elevate enterprise decision-making.
Enterprise Orchestration & Partnership with Technology Centers of Excellence
- Provide clear business leadership across enterprise technology initiatives, working closely with Technology Centers of Excellence (Salesforce, Workday, Microsoft/Azure, and Data & Insights) as strategic enablers.
- Translate business priorities, outcomes, and value expectations into clear direction for CoEs, ensuring platform efforts are grounded in enterprise needs.
- Integrate platform strategies, delivery plans, and dependencies into a cohesive enterprise roadmap.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for aligning business intent with technology execution, ensuring clarity across stakeholders.
- Ensure enterprise solutions are designed holistically, avoiding fragmentation and maximizing cross-platform value.
Outcome-Driven Delivery & Execution Leadership
- Lead teams of IT Business Partners and Business Analysts embedded within agile delivery teams to drive execution against defined outcomes.
- Ensure continuous business engagement throughout delivery—clarifying priorities, accelerating decisions, and resolving tradeoffs.
- Shift delivery focus from “implementation completion” to business adoption, value realization, and measurable results.
- Partner with CoEs and delivery leaders to maintain momentum, manage complexity, and ensure solutions meet enterprise standards.
- Champion change management and continuous optimization to embed capabilities into how the business operates.
Portfolio Governance, Prioritization & Stakeholder Management
- Own enterprise demand intake, prioritization, and portfolio governance to ensure technology investments align with strategic priorities.
- Establish clear governance mechanisms, decision frameworks, and escalation paths to enable disciplined, timely decision-making.
- Balance competing demands across functions, platforms, and capacity while protecting long-term enterprise health.
- Proactively manage executive and senior stakeholder relationships, building trust through transparency, clarity, and follow-through.
- Track and communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes, ensuring leadership has clear visibility into value delivered.
Leadership, Talent & Operating Model Excellence
- Lead and develop a high-performing global organization of approximately 20 team members across the U.S. and India, including two Director-level leaders.
- Build leadership capability centered on business fluency, outcome ownership, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Establish clear accountability across the operating model, reinforcing the role of Business Partners as owners of outcomes and value realization.
- Model CA’s leadership competencies by driving clarity, integrity, inclusion, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Who we're looking for:
Technical & Functional Expertise
- 12–18 years of progressive experience in enterprise technology, digital transformation, or IT leadership roles.
- Broad experience across enterprise technology landscapes, including—but not limited to—CRM and ERP platforms, data platforms, analytics, integration layers, automation, and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated experience driving data and analytics transformation, enabling enterprise-wide insight, automation, and decision-making.
- Hands-on leadership experience applying modern technologies, including AI and advanced analytics, to deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Experience shaping and governing enterprise roadmaps across multiple platforms, with Salesforce-enabled ecosystems as a core component of a broader enterprise landscape.
- Ability to provide clear business and capability inputs to enterprise architecture teams, contributing to sound architectural decisions without owning architecture design.
Leadership & Strategic Skills
- 7–10 years of experience in senior leadership roles, leading complex, globally distributed teams in matrixed environments.
- Proven success guiding organizations through technology and operating-model maturity transitions, moving from fragmented or functionally driven delivery to cohesive, enterprise-scale execution.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a business partner leadership model, owning outcomes, prioritization, and value realization rather than only delivery.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and peers without direct authority.
- Experience establishing portfolio governance, prioritization frameworks, and decision-making forums that drive clarity and accountability.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate strategy into aligned action across diverse stakeholders.
Industry & Business Acumen
- Strong business acumen with experience partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Customer Success, and other enterprise functions.
- Experience operating in B2B-focused business models, supporting complex customer journeys and revenue operations.
- Demonstrated ability to connect technology investments to business outcomes such as growth, efficiency, customer experience, and decision quality.
- Experience in EdTech, SaaS, or other digital-first, mission-driven organizations is strongly preferred.
- Comfort operating in fast-scaling environments where priorities evolve and enterprise maturity is advancing.
What Success Looks Like
- Enterprise technology operates at a higher level of maturity, with clear ownership, disciplined governance, and strong alignment to business strategy.
- Business leaders rely on this role as a trusted transformation partner who helps shape priorities and unlock new ways of working.
- Technology investments deliver measurable improvements in growth, efficiency, customer experience, and decision quality.
- Data, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities are embedded into enterprise processes and decision-making, not treated as standalone initiatives.
- Enterprise platforms work together cohesively, enabling insight, automation, and scalability across the organization.
- Portfolio decisions reflect strong stewardship of resources, clear tradeoffs, and long-term enterprise thinking.
- Teams operate with clarity, accountability, and confidence, demonstrating readiness for continued scale and complexity.
