Senior Director – Indirect Tax (International)

Join us as Senior Director – Indirect Tax (International) and take ownership of our non-U.S. indirect tax strategy across a dynamic, multinational enterprise. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you’ll lead a talented team, collaborate with senior leadership, and drive innovation in compliance, reporting, and business enablement.
What You’ll Do- Own the Global Indirect Tax Function: Lead all aspects of non-U.S. indirect tax, including VAT, GST, HST, excise, and fuel taxes across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strategic Business Partner: Collaborate with the SVP Global Tax, senior executives, and cross-functional teams to align tax strategy with business goals.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee compliance, reporting, audit management, and risk mitigation while continuously improving processes and systems.
- Lead Transformation: Implement and refine the global indirect tax operating model, including vendor management and technology integration.
- Mentor & Empower: Build and lead a high-performing international tax team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Ensure Global Alignment: Partner with the U.S. Indirect Tax Director and Income Tax teams to ensure consistency in policy, reporting, and communication.
- 12+ years of progressive indirect tax experience, ideally in both public accounting and multinational corporate environments.
- Deep expertise in non-U.S. indirect tax regulations and compliance for publicly traded companies.
- Proven leadership in building and scaling high-performing teams.
- Strong track record of deploying tax technology solutions and driving automation, analytics, and process improvement.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex tax issues into actionable insights for non-tax stakeholders.
- A proactive, strategic mindset with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed environments with evolving business priorities.
