Manager, Strategic Supply Chain
Position Summary:
The Sr. Director of Global Supply Chain is responsible for building and running Bio-Techne’s global supply chain operating system across planning, distribution, strategic sourcing, intercompany flows, inventory strategy, and supporting systems.
Bio-Techne has strong operators and talented individuals across the organization. The next phase of growth requires installing the systems, operating rhythms, and leadership capability that allow the supply chain to perform reliably without reliance on heroics or constant escalation.
This leader will design and implement the enterprise supply chain operating model while simultaneously leading day-to-day operations across global distribution, planning, and sourcing teams.
The role requires a builder–operator leader — someone who understands the mechanics of supply chain operations and can translate that knowledge into scalable processes, systems, and organizational capability.
The successful candidate will combine operational credibility with the ability to design and install the systems that allow the supply chain to run effectively without constant intervention.
Success will be measured by building a supply chain that operates with discipline, transparency, and predictable outcomes.
Role Boundaries & Operating Intent:

This role strengthens site leadership and builds systems that reduce reliance on escalation.

Responsibilities include:
Establishing consistent operating rhythms across sites

Responsibilities include:

Establishing supplier segmentation, category strategies, and sourcing governance
Implementing supplier performance management and review rhythms
Strengthening supply continuity, supplier risk management, and cost discipline

Establish the data and systems foundation required for scalable supply chain operations.
Responsibilities include:
Developing the supply chain ERP and systems roadmap
Governing master data and planning logic
Creating decision-support analytics and operational dashboards

Develop the leadership capability required to sustain the supply chain operating system.
Responsibilities include:
Coaching and developing supply chain leaders across regions
Building capabilities in planning, distribution, sourcing, and analytics teams
Creating accountability and leadership ownership
