Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key thought leader in the value stream processes to support the sales opportunity through contract closeout process. 
  • Connect teams and processes across multiple organizations to simplify the way Defense & Systems does business in support of its customers and internal operations. 
  • Lead a team to deliver software and outcomes in support of the sales and contracts value stream. 
  • Recruit and develop technical talent in the GE Aerospace Digital Technology Organization
  • Lead a variety of software products ranging from SaaS products (like Salesforce.com) to custom developed software critical for proposal management. 
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive $12M+ digital strategy roadmap for Commercial and Government Business within Defense & Systems, optimizing sales-to-contract closeout processes.
  • Act as a practitioner and coach of FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace’s proprietary Lean Operating System to accelerate deployment of strategic capabilities and value to the D&S business. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 13 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 15 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in IT
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
  • Proven experience within a leadership role in a complex digital technology environment

Desired Characteristics:

  • Defense contracting experience.
  • Experience executing digital technology strategies in support of Defense industry commercial, contracts, and finance organizations.
  • CRM expertise.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.

    This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
