We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Director of Corporate Engineering - Internal Platforms and AI to lead and scale our engineering efforts for our cutting-edge SaaS products. This pivotal role requires a proven leader with deep expertise in building and delivering successful SaaS solutions, coupled with a strong track record of hiring, mentoring, and growing high-performing engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading geographically dispersed teams (e.g., US, India, Armenia).

What You'll Do:

Engineering Leadership & Strategy:

  • Define and execute the technical vision and strategy for our SaaS products, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Drive the architecture, design, and development of highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native applications.
  • Champion best practices in software development, including agile methodologies, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and test automation.
  • Identify and implement innovative technologies and approaches to enhance product capabilities and engineering efficiency.

AI-First Approach & Tooling:

  • Champion an AI-first mindset throughout the engineering organization, exploring and integrating cutting-edge AI tools and methodologies to enhance productivity and innovation.
  • Evaluate, implement, and drive adoption of AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, Vercel's AI capabilities, etc., to optimize coding, testing, and deployment workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI for automated code generation, intelligent debugging, performance optimization, and enhanced developer experience.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML and their applications in software development, driving strategic adoption within the team.
  • Utilize AI to identify, analyze, and automate key business processes across the organization, improving efficiency, accuracy, and operational costs.
  • Lead the exploration, development, and implementation of Agentic AI solutions to handle complex, multi-step workflows with limited human intervention.

Team Building & Management:

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard top-tier engineering talent in India, building a strong and cohesive team.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineers at all levels, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Establish clear performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews, ensuring high standards of accountability.
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment that promotes innovation and psychological safety.

Cross-Geo Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product management, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure seamless communication, alignment, and execution.
  • Bridge potential geographical and cultural differences, fostering strong working relationships between the India and US teams.
  • Participate in global engineering leadership discussions, contributing to overall strategic decision-making.

Engineering Execution & KPIs:

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for engineering productivity, quality, and delivery.
  • Drive strong engineering execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Implement robust processes for incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks and impediments.

Technical Expertise:

  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and leadership, making informed architectural decisions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly within the AWS and Azure ecosystems.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency with our core tech stack: Node.js, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Director/Sr. Director level) building SaaS products.

  • Proven experience in successfully hiring, scaling, and managing engineering teams, particularly those based in India.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with US-based headquarters.

  • Strong understanding of SaaS architecture, microservices, and cloud-native development.

  • Expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.

  • Deep technical proficiency in Node.js, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.

  • Proven experience in integrating and leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Vercel's AI features, or similar) to enhance engineering efficiency and output.

  • Demonstrated experience in leveraging AI for business process automation, including identifying automation opportunities and implementing AI-driven solutions.

  • Practical experience in designing, developing, and deploying Agentic AI systems capable of autonomous decision-making and task execution within complex business workflows.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • A strong focus on engineering execution and a data-driven approach to performance measurement (KPIs).

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with other relevant technologies (e.g., Kafka, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment.

  • Experience in MLOps or integrating machine learning models into production systems.

  • Prior experience building a Billing system is a plus.

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation.The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $244,000 USD - $326,400 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
