About the Role
The Senior Director of Centralized Feasibility & Operational Strategy leads the global feasibility and operational strategy function and owns the enterprise level operational positioning for clinical programs across all phases. This role manages a team of Feasibility Strategists, Operational Strategy Leads, and analytics focused staff; governs the quality and rigor of feasibility outputs; and ensures consistent, data driven operational strategies across the development organization. The Senior Director partners closely with Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Program Leadership, Data Science, Regulatory, and senior leadership to shape country and site strategies, evaluate enrolment and operational risk, and ensure the organization is positioned to deliver on clinical commitments. This role sets standards, drives capability development, and ensures the team operates with excellence, consistency, and strategic clarity.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the Centralized Feasibility & Operational Strategy team.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and capability building programs.
Enterprise Level Feasibility & Operational Strategy Leadership
- Lead feasibility and operational strategy for the most complex, high priority, or strategically significant clinical programs.
- Set the strategic direction, frameworks, and standards for feasibility assessments, country/site strategies, and enrolment modeling.
Portfolio Level Risk, Enrolment, & Operational Oversight
- Evaluate feasibility, enrolment risk, and operational complexity across the clinical portfolio.
- Review enrolment models, country assumptions, site strategies, and operational risk assessments for accuracy and consistency.
Process Governance & Quality Assurance
- Govern the quality, consistency, and accuracy of all feasibility and operational strategy deliverables.
- Maintain and evolve templates, frameworks, methodologies, and best practices for feasibility and operational strategy.
Systems, Tools & Strategic Enablement
- Oversee adoption and optimization of feasibility platforms, data sources, modeling frameworks, and analytics tools.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across feasibility assessments, enrolment models, and strategy materials.
Cross Functional & Executive Collaboration
- Partner across the organization and senior leadership to align on feasibility and operational strategy.
- Influence decision making through clear, data driven communication and strategic insights.
Experience and Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in clinical operations, feasibility, clinical strategy, or related functions.
- Demonstrated leadership of teams responsible for complex analytical or strategic deliverables.
- Strong executive communication and cross functional influence skills.
- Advanced capabilities in feasibility assessment, enrolment modeling, operational risk evaluation, and strategic scenario planning.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high impact programs simultaneously.
- Experience partnering with senior leadership on strategic decisions.
Preferred
- Experience in global clinical development, feasibility strategy, or operational planning.
- Background in operational leadership, study startup, or portfolio level planning.
- Experience developing frameworks, standards, or capability building programs.
- Familiarity with predictive analytics, feasibility platforms, or advanced modeling tools.
Salary Band – Senior Director Centralized Feasibility and Operational Strategy: $200K to $270K USD – Salary offered will be based on candidates experience level.
