This position ensures operational excellence by governing standard procedures, managing organizational change, and leading incident response strategies. You will oversee three primary pillars: Operational Governance, Training & Certification, and Performance Readiness. The ideal candidate is a process-oriented leader who can harmonize complex regulatory requirements with high-performance operational metrics to drive continual improvement and organizational resilience.

What You’ll Do

  • Establish change management governance: Define and enforce enterprise change control frameworks, approval authorities, risk assessment standards, and maintenance window protocols. Ensure all sites follow consistent change discipline and documentation rigor.
  • Incident and problem management frameworks: Design and enforce incident command structures, escalation pathways, post-incident review (PIR) processes, corrective action (CAPA) discipline, and root cause analysis (RCA) governance. Ensure systemic issues are identified and resolved enterprise wide.
  • Direct the Incident and Problem Management lifecycle, ensuring rapid restoration of services and long-term resolution of systemic issues.
  • Performance Readiness & Continual Improvement
  • Govern the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process, ensuring deep-dive reviews lead to actionable insights and the prevention of recurrence.
  • Define, track, and report on critical Metrics and KPIs that reflect the health and efficiency of Central operations.
  • Drive a culture of Continual Improvement by leveraging data-driven insights to optimize workflows and reduce operational waste.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years in mission-critical operations (data centers, industrial, utilities, hospitals, or similar), including 5+ years in leadership/governance role.
  • Deep working knowledge of critical electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, generators, switchgear, ATS/STS, EPMS/BMS, cooling plant, liquid cooling, fire/life safety).
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise operational standards, change management frameworks, and training programs.
  • Strong background in incident management, RCA discipline, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence without direct authority, and drive organizational change.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to translate technical complexity into clear standards and guidance for diverse audiences (operators, engineers, executives, auditors).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hyperscale or multi-site data center operations experience.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E, OSHA standards, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
