How you’ll add value… 

Reporting to the Vice President Commercial Americas, the Senior Director Stores & Cryo will lead the commercial strategy within North America. Close coordination with regional marketing, inside sales, and technical experts will be required as part of a broad strategy to drive growth, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain our market leading position.  

What you’ll do…   

  • You will enable a team of up to 8 Account Managers to position our state-of-the-art Stores and Cryogenic Solutions.  

  • Develop and execute an effective business growth plan in line with Azenta´s Life Sciences Products strategic initiatives and sales funnel management best practices. 

  • Develop a team capable of fully articulating the critical benefits of Azenta’s full suite of automated storage solutions and detail how we minimize risk and improve customer experience. 

  • Achieve annual sales goals within Americas through the development, maintenance, and enhancement of client accounts predominately focused on pharma and biotech. 

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support professional development for sales team members. 

  • Generate forecasts and prepare reports in conjunction with business needs. 

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in sales management. Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth. 

  • Continuously apply Lean principles to identify opportunities for process enhancements, efficiency improvements, and innovative solutions to drive ongoing growth and success. 

  • As a leader you will actively motivate and energize the team, fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, encouragement, and strategic goal setting to drive success. 

What you’ll bring… 

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Biology or life sciences preferred). 

  • 15+ years of sales experience (direct laboratory capital equipment/life sciences services preferred). 

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience (direct laboratory capital equipment/life sciences services preferred).

  • Affinity for large technical systems and informatics 

  • Proven track record in meeting/ exceeding sales goals.  

  • Ability to work under pressure and ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects. 

  • Confident communication (written and oral) skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders internally and our clients’ organizations. 

  • Willing and able to travel overnight within North America or internationally as required, attending client meetings and repository tours with your team, as well as internal meetings, training, and conferences. (up to 50% of the time). 

  • Compensation: $200k (+) annually and an attractive sales incentive package
