Description

Are you a strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of brand, content, digital, and user experience? Do you love distilling uncovering insights from research and translating them into intuitive experiences, compelling brand narratives smart and digital strategies? Then you’ll find a special home at Interactive Strategies.

We’re seeking looking for a Senior Digital Strategist to join our growing Strategy team. In this role, you’ll lead collaborative strategy engagements, guiding clients through brand discovery, audience definition, competitive positioning, and AI-informed digital planning. You’ll help translate complexity into clarity — supporting and shaping sitemaps, wireframes, and digital concepts in close collaboration with designers, developers, and content strategists.

You’ll partner with exciting, mission-driven organizations — including the American Kidney Fund, Rainforest Trust, Urban Institute, CFP Board, Operation Smile, The Wilderness Society, and more — to craft digital strategies and brand expressions that push boundaries, engage audiences, and drive results.

Responsibilities

You’ll lead strategic engagements from discovery through execution, collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team that includes UX, design, content, and development. We are looking for individuals who are skilled in the full spectrum of strategy skills who will:

  • Lead brand discovery efforts and positioning efforts through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and competitor audits.
  • Conduct user and market research to uncover audience behaviors, perceptions, and unmet needs.
  • Translate insights into clear, actionable strategy deliverables — like personas, user journeys, value propositions, competitive analysis, brand voice guidelines, information architecture, and user experience.
  • Develop new strategies and client offerings in response to the evolving AI and digital landscape.
  • Work with our Design/UX team to express the user experience as wireframes.
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure we are delivering on the strategic plan throughout the design and development process.
  • Communicate often and build strong client relationships. At the end of the day, you are someone who can provide our clients with a positive and effortless experience.
  • Identify new strategies and business opportunities within existing client accounts.
  • Participate in the new business process to develop client proposals and presentations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline process so we can produce better work while improving efficiency.

Qualities you bring to the table...

  • Strategic Vision. You see both the forest and the trees — connecting brand identity to user needs and digital execution.
  • Creative Instinct. You bring passion and imagination to your work, crafting stories and strategies that resonate and inspire.
  • Brand-Savvy. You understand how to position a brand in the digital space and maintain consistency across multiple channels.
  • Empathetic Researcher. You know how to ask the right questions, listen closely, and surface insights that drive smart decisions.
  • Confident Communicator. Whether in a workshop, internal brainstorm, or client presentation, you present ideas clearly and thoughtfully.
  • Team Player. You collaborate seamlessly with designers, developers, copywriters, and PMs — bringing others into your process and building consensus.
  • Positive Energy. You’re approachable, enthusiastic, and committed to fostering a creative, inclusive environment.
Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience developing comprehensive, integrated client strategies.
  • Agency experience is a plus!
  • Experience conducting user research including online surveys and focus groups.
  • Experience generating information architecture and user interface designs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience developing strong client relationships and account growth strategies.
  • Experience generating strategy documentation including personas, user journeys, competitive analysis, sitemaps and wireframes.
