Ether.fi is one of the largest crypto companies in the world. We have over $10B in assets under management and a team of 30 almost all technical staff. We’ve been profitable day one and are focusing on building real consumer applications.

The future we envisage is true on-chain banking. Our current products; Stake, Liquid, and Cash enable users to earn yield in a variety of DeFi strategies, and spend their assets in the real world with our credit cards. You can view public analytics on Dune for Cash and Stake.

Position overview:

We’re looking for a senior devops engineer to own cloud infrastructure, devops and secops with support from our security partners. This is high ownership role that should enable our engineering team to ship safely and at scale. This is an in-person role.

What you’ll do:

  • Keep our credit-card processing path highly available & low-latency; capacity planning, autoscaling, load/perf testing

  • Protect the edge & APIs: WAF, rate-limiting/bot controls, DDoS posture, API gateway/TLS hygiene

  • Own multi-account AWS infrastructure as code (Terraform); enforce SSO/MFA and least-privilege IAM guardrails

  • Drive end-to-end observability (metrics/logs/traces), set SLOs/error budgets, and keep alerts actionable with clean dashboards

  • Run threat detection & incident response: immutable logging, GuardDuty/Security Hub tuning, on-call runbooks, post-mortems

  • Set up and drive improvement in our CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling

  • Manage secrets & keys (AWS KMS/Secrets Manager), automate rotation, and maintain audited access

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to improve security processes

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years professional experience working with cloud infrastructure

  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining server-side applications

  • Hands on experience with Terraform, AWS, monitoring tools, Docker

  • Strong problem-solving skills and weakly held strong opinions on best practice

  • Enthusiasm for joining a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment

  • Security-conscious approach to all devops and infrastructure work

  • Plus if you are experienced in web3

Perks and benefits:

  • Competitive salary, performance-based incentives, and token allocation grant

  • Opportunity to work on multi-billion dollar products as part of a small team

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance plans

  • Global team with opportunity for travel and working out of our 3 offices around the world

  • 4 weeks work from anywhere

  • Exciting company events and team-building off-sites
