What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join an agile engineering team responsible for building, automating, and evolving the infrastructure and delivery pipelines that support a modern, cloud-native platform.

This role is focused on the modernization and migration of legacy on-premises Windows infrastructure into AWS-based, cloud-native and serverless environments. You will work closely with development teams to automate CI/CD pipelines, define Infrastructure as Code, deploy applications across development, testing, and production environments, and ensure reliability, security, and observability across the platform.

This role operates within a flat, collaborative team structure with high individual ownership and a strong culture of trust. It offers a high degree of autonomy, minimal meetings, and close collaboration through clear documentation and thoughtful code reviews. The work is primarily focused on enabling development teams and modernizing infrastructure, with continuous opportunities to improve and evolve the platform.

If you are fully fluent in English, proactive, communicate well, like to solve problems, and have strong attention to detail, this role might be a great fit for you! Our jobs are fully remote and you will be integrated directly into the client’s team, gaining valuable experience and forming meaningful connections.

What's unique about this job?

This role offers the opportunity to be deeply involved in a large-scale infrastructure transformation, transitioning away from legacy Windows-based systems toward modern, cloud-native architectures on AWS.

You will have real ownership across the DevOps lifecycle, from investigating and decommissioning legacy Windows servers to defining new Infrastructure as Code, building CI/CD pipelines, and implementing monitoring and security best practices. Beyond execution, you will contribute to continuous improvement, documentation, and technical decision-making that supports long-term platform stability and growth.

Here are some of the exciting day-to-day challenges you will face in this role:

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, primarily using Lambda, ECS, and ECR.
  • Investigate, monitor, and support the removal of legacy Windows Servers (2012 & 2022).
  • Manage and support Windows Services and IIS-based applications, including .NET workloads.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Automate application build and deployment processes across all environments.
  • Use Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure as code.
  • Ensure infrastructure is versioned, reproducible, and consistent across environments.
  • Develop and maintain internal platforms and tooling to support development teams.
  • Implement monitoring and observability solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Analyze and optimize system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams in an agile setup.
  • Implement security best practices and support compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, processes, and tools.
  • Share knowledge and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

You will shine if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in software organizations in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud migration projects.
  • Mandatory strong experience in Windows System Administration.
  • Hands-on expertise with Windows Servers (2012 & 2022), Windows Services, and IIS.
  • Experience supporting and deploying .NET-based applications.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting experience.
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Solid knowledge of Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Practical experience with containerization, especially Docker.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously with minimal direction.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.

It doesn’t hurt if you also have:

  • Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.
  • Exposure to platform engineering or internal developer platforms.
  • Experience with security and code quality tools such as Snyk and SonarQube.
  • AWS certifications or active preparation toward them.
  • Any of the following certifications:
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional.
  • AWS Certified Security Specialty
  • AWS SysOps Administrator Associate.

Here are some of the perks we offer you:

  • Salary in USD
  • Flexible schedule (within US Time zones)
  • 100% Remote
  • High-impact role in a complex infrastructure modernization initiative
  • Collaboration with senior engineering, security, and operations teams
  • Opportunities for technical growth and increased ownership over time
