About the Role

As a Developer Relations professional at you.com, you will be the bridge between our engineering teams and the global developer community. You’ll empower developers to build with you.com’s APIs and tools, advocate for their needs internally, and help shape the future of our platform. In this role, you will serve as a bridge between our R&D teams and the broader developer community, helping to drive adoption, engagement, and advocacy for you.com’s AI-powered products and APIs. You’ll create technical content, engage with developers online and in person, and foster a vibrant, inclusive community. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role where you’ll collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing to drive adoption and innovation.


Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with developers through forums, social media, and community events. Respond to questions, facilitate discussions, and champion developer needs internally.
  • Technical Content Creation: Develop and publish high-quality technical content, including developer documentation, tutorials, sample code, blog posts, and videos to help developers succeed with you.com’s APIs.
  • Advocacy & Evangelism: Plan and represent you.com at conferences, meetups, webinars, and hackathons. Deliver talks, workshops, and demos to showcase our technology and inspire adoption.
  • Feedback Loop: Gather and synthesize feedback from the developer community to inform product and engineering teams, helping to shape product direction and improve the developer experience.
  • Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to ensure you.com remains at the forefront of developer innovation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align messaging, launch new features, and support go-to-market initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, software engineering, or a related role.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on coding experience (Python, JavaScript, or similar languages preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience creating technical content (blogs, tutorials, videos, sample apps).
  • Passion for building and engaging with developer communities.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven experience equivalent or equal to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with open source, APIs, and cloud technologies is a plus.

Our salary bands are structured based on a combination of geographic tiers and internal leveling. Compensation is determined by multiple factors assessed during the interview process, with the final offer reflecting these considerations.

Salary Band
$160,000$210,000 USD
