What you will do

The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for evaluating demand from internal customers and preparing comprehensive demand plans to align supply with business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve forecast accuracy, manage forecasting systems, and analyze performance metrics to support strategic decision-making:

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced forecasting models that integrate market trends, historical data, and emerging consumer behaviors to optimize demand accuracy.

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive demand plans for assigned business units or product lines, ensuring alignment with internal customer needs and business objectives.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance teams to develop dynamic demand strategies, drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy, and facilitate forecast discussions.

  • Optimize inventory levels by maintaining target reorder points that balance fill rate targets with minimized inventory investment.

  • Leverage data visualization tools to create intuitive dashboards that provide real-time insights into demand patterns and inventory levels.

  • Oversee the implementation, management, and enhancement of forecasting software and related systems to support accurate demand planning.

  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with relevant regulations and corporate standards throughout the demand planning process.

  • Develop, monitor, and analyze key performance metrics related to quality, cost, and delivery to support supplier scorecards and business reviews.

  • Conduct detailed monthly demand analyses to identify trends, resolve discrepancies between financial and statistical forecasts, and recommend outsourcing solutions when capacity constraints are anticipated.

  • Prepare and present timely, insightful forecasting reports and communications to align stakeholders across franchises and functional areas.

  • Lead scenario planning exercises to anticipate supply chain disruptions and proactively adjust demand plans accordingly.

  • Lead and mentor regional and junior demand planning teams to enhance process efficiencies, foster a culture of analytical curiosity, reduce forecast errors, and improve customer service levels.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.

  • 4-6 years of hands-on or progressive experience in demand planning, supply chain, forecasting, or related analytical/business roles.

  • Proven expertise in analyzing complex business data and translating insights into actionable demand planning strategies.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of building collaborative relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively within a dynamic, matrixed organizational environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency in advanced statistical software and demand planning tools such as SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, or similar platforms.

  • Experience utilizing syndicated data and advanced forecasting tools to enhance demand accuracy and planning processes.

  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Capability to manage conflicts constructively and negotiate solutions that align with business goals.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, sales databases, web applications, and forecasting software platforms.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data sets into actionable business insights that drive strategic decision-making.

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$90,100.00 - $127,200.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
