Job Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end database migration initiatives, including discovery, assessment, planning, execution, validation, and post-migration stabilization.
  • Develop detailed migration strategies, roadmaps, schedules, dependencies, rollback procedures, and cutover plans.
  • Assess source and target database environments to identify compatibility issues, data dependencies, technical risks, and migration constraints.
  • Select appropriate migration approaches, including rehosting, re-platforming, refactoring, replication, bulk migration, and phased migration.
  • Coordinate structured migrations between on-premises, cloud, hybrid, relational, and non-relational database environments.
  • Lead migration rehearsals, dry runs, production cutovers, and post-migration validation activities.
  • Minimize system downtime and data loss by implementing replication, change data capture, synchronization, and high-availability migration techniques.
  • Develop contingency and rollback procedures to support business continuity during migration events.
  • Analyze legacy database structures, schemas, tables, relationships, stored procedures, triggers, views, indexes, and data types.
  • Translate source database structures into optimized target-state schemas.
  • Perform schema mapping and conversion across different database technologies and platforms.
  • Resolve differences in data types, naming conventions, constraints, indexing models, partitioning strategies, and database-specific functionality.

Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. 
    • 7+ years of industry related experience is required 
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment will be required
    • Experience performing security engineering functions
    • Experience developing and modifying scripts
    • Experience mapping inheritance and Common Control Catalogs
    • Experience developing or tuning Risk Scoring
    • Clearance Requirement
      Ability to obtain may be required
