The Role

As Oshi Health’s first Data Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the team responsible for building and scaling the data platform that powers our Marketing, Analytics, AI and RCM systems. • Partner with Security and IT to uphold strong data governance, audit trails, and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data standards

Who you are:

  • Hold a BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field, or have equivalent experience in a relevant area.
  • 8+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, including 3+ years in a manager or team lead role
  • Deep expertise with modern data tools and lakehouse architectures
  • Proficient in SQL and Python/Go, with a strong background in building scalable ETL systems
  • Expertise in data management best practices, including data definitions, lineage, quality frameworks, and governance models — especially in regulated industries.
  • Strong cross-functional communicator who can clearly translate technical ideas for non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Knowledge about data security and HIPAA compliance.
  • Experience with FHIR standards, HL7, or other healthcare data interchange formats is a plus.
