You remember the first time someone answered a time-sensitive business question using your data without asking for help. No walkthrough. No “which tables do I join?” Slack thread. They trusted the numbers, blended the sources, and made a decision. Not because they were clever, but because your data model was.

You care about data systems that get used and improved. You’ve fixed brittle pipelines instead of papering over them. You've navigated trade-offs between speed and correctness, built the metrics to prove which one you picked, and felt a quiet thrill when your quality monitors catch something before anyone else notices.. If you’re looking to take what you know and apply it somewhere early enough that the foundations still matter, but real enough that the impact shows up fast then this role’s for you..

At Fixify, we’re building an AI-native IT automation platform, and data isn’t an afterthought. It’s the backbone of how we build models, ship features, measure outcomes, and decide what to build next. As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll design and own the systems that move data from raw events to trusted, well-modeled datasets that teams across the company rely on every day.

This is a senior role. You’ll have end-to-end ownership of critical pipelines and datasets, real influence over architecture and tooling, and the space to raise the bar on how we build and operate our data platform. You’ll see it used, questioned, and improved in real time.

If you care about building data systems people are eager to use, and you want both responsibility and room to shape how things are done, you’ll feel at home here.

What we can do for you
  • Give you ownership of systems that matter along with responsibility to improve them.
  • Put you at the center of Product, Data Science, and Engineering where your work enables everything downstream.
  • Let you shape our data platform, tooling choices, and engineering standards as we scale.
  • Surround you with teammates who care deeply about quality, reliability, and building things right the first time.
What you can do for us
  • Design, build, and operate resilient batch and streaming data pipelines that scale with Fixify’s growth.
  • Own critical datasets end-to-end, from requirements and modeling through documentation, monitoring, and data quality.
  • Model data for analytics and product use cases, evolving schemas thoughtfully as business needs change.
  • Partner with data science teams to optimize systems so research translates seamlessly to production.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards with automated validation and actionable alerts.
  • Evaluate tools and frameworks, and help us make smart platform decisions.
What you should bring with you
  • 5+ years in data or software engineering, with significant data engineering work.
  • Expert-level SQL and strong data modeling instincts; you know how to design schemas that stand the test of time. Experience with ClickHouse and Airflow is a plus.
  • Deep experience working with cloud data platforms and orchestration frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Python, orchestration, and data engineering tasks.
  • Experience building and operating streaming or near-real-time data pipelines.
  • A track record of delivering production-grade pipelines and semantic layers.
  • Experience integrating data from various API sources to bring new data into warehouses.
  • Clear communication skills; you can explain technical trade-offs to anyone.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • SaaS or high-growth tech experience preferred.
