The Role

As a Senior Data Engineer at LearnLux, you’ll shape a data ecosystem that empowers every team to make smarter decisions. This high-impact, cross-functional role is our first Data Engineer hire and will blend engineering with analytics, visualization, and storytelling. You’ll build and own scalable data pipelines, power self-serve dashboards, and guide strategic insights that support everything from Product to Client Success.

Your work will influence both internal operations and product experiences, leveraging machine learning, LLMs, and generative AI to drive personalization and impact for our members. You’ll help define LearnLux’s data strategy, champion best practices, and shape a data-driven culture across the company.

This role is 100% remote within the US and reports to the Head of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of data solutions from ingestion to modeling, visualization, and analysis
  • Build and maintain Airflow DAGs that ingest, transform, and validate data in our Google Cloud-based data lake and warehouse
  • Evolve our data infrastructure, including Google Cloud Storage and BigQuery environments
  • Design thoughtful dashboards and reporting tools to surface insights company-wide
  • Enable self-serve analytics by partnering with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Client Success
  • Implement scalable data patterns, documentation, and monitoring strategies
  • Act as subject matter expert on data infrastructure, quality, and governance
  • Collaborate on experimentation frameworks and A/B testing for actionable product insights
  • Share knowledge and support teammates through technical discussion and pairing
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related roles, with a track record of delivering end-to-end solutions
  • Expertise with Apache Airflow and DAG development
  • Mastery of SQL and enthusiasm for clean, maintainable data models
  • Product-minded with a focus on actionable insights and real-world impact
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and collaborating with technical and non-technical partners
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for mentorship and a collaborative, mission-driven mindset
