Job Requisition ID #

25WD91598

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead data architecture and design across real-time streaming and enterprise batch systems. You will be the principal authority for data modeling, integration, and architecture patterns that enable Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance use cases.

This role is more than technical design—it requires the ability to transform data into business processes, shaping standard, reusable data models that enable “build once, use everywhere” solutions across domains. By creating extensible and scalable architectures, you will help Autodesk accelerate business agility and AI-driven innovation.

Reporting into the Chief Architect, you will partner with PSET Infra (for PaaS platforms), Data Science, Finance, and Business Leaders to design future-proof, governed, and scalable data architectures.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

Enterprise & Real-Time Data Architecture

  • Define end-to-end data architecture across batch and streaming systems for GTM (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success) and Finance Forecasting use cases.

  • Architect real-time data flows (e.g., Kafka/Flink/Spark Streaming) that support personalization, marketing triggers, pipeline health monitoring, and customer success alerts.

  • Establish data lakehouse strategies (Iceberg, Delta, Hudi) with schema evolution, partitioning, and performance tuning –– in partnership and collaboration with Platform (PSET) teams.

  • Partner with MDM teams to design canonical, reusable customer, account, and product models that unify systems of record (CRM, ERP, Support, Marketing).

  • Design semantic and dimensional data models optimized for visualization, BI, and forecasting (star schemas, snowflake schemas, semantic layers).

  • Embed lineage, observability, privacy, and compliance into all architecture patterns.

Business Process Transformation

  • Translate raw data into standardized business process models (lead-to-cash, quote-to-order, marketing-to-revenue, customer health-to-renewal).

  • Create standard data models that are reusable across functions, enabling “build once, use everywhere” adoption.

  • Ensure that these models form the foundation for extensible and scalable solutions across multiple Autodesk domains.

  • Partner with GTM leaders to ensure data architecture aligns with business processes, KPIs, and forecasting accuracy.

AI & Forecasting Readiness

  • Collaborate with Data Science to design architectures for ML feature stores supporting forecasting, churn models, and sales propensity scoring.

  • Enable RAG/LLM applications by designing architectures for retrieval-ready data lakes and knowledge-augmented AI.

  • Architect streaming-based feedback loops to continually refine personalization, sales engagement, and customer success models.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Serve as the trusted architecture partner for GTM business leaders.

  • Provide technical mentorship to senior data engineers and architects.

  • Partner with PSET Infra to align architecture with platform guardrails.

  • Document and evangelize reference architectures, reusable models, and design standards across Autodesk.

What You’ve Done (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 12+ years of experience in data engineering/architecture, with at least 5+ years as a principal or lead data architect.

  • Deep expertise in real-time streaming architectures (Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming).

  • Hands-on experience with data lakes and lakehouse technologies (Iceberg, Delta, Hudi) and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks).

  • Proven background in Master Data Management (MDM) and canonical data modeling (customer, product, account hierarchies).

  • Strong proficiency in data modeling for analytics/visualization (dimensional/star schema, semantic layers, OLAP).

  • Ability to transform data into business process frameworks (e.g., lead-to-cash, marketing attribution, customer success).

  • Track record of delivering scalable, extensible solutions through standardized, reusable models.

  • Experience embedding governance, lineage, privacy, and compliance into enterprise architectures.
