About the Role

You'll own the critical data analysis, cleaning, and validation processes that support Simpluris' operational systems, working with transactional and case-related datasets to ensure data quality before upload into internal systems. Reporting to the data operations team, you'll collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies and implement process improvements. This role is essential as we continue scaling our data operations to handle increasingly complex client matters.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze, clean, validate, and transform client-provided data from diverse sources and formats before system upload
  • Execute SQL queries and Python scripts to process, reconcile, and validate large transactional datasets
  • Investigate data quality issues, exceptions, and inconsistencies to present findings to project managers for client resolution
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve data-related issues and ensure accuracy
  • Review project manager requests to determine data processing requirements and deliver processed datasets
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that increase accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Business, or related field
  • Proven experience as a data analyst working with structured datasets, particularly large record-based or transactional data
  • Proficiency in Python (preferably pandas) for data cleaning, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, joining, filtering, aggregation, and validation
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve data quality issues including duplicates, missing values, and record inconsistencies

Bonus Points

  • Experience with large transactional datasets involving payments, claims, account activity, or communications
  • Background in class action administration, legal administration, settlement administration, or claims processing
  • Familiarity with securities-related data such as transactions, holdings, trades, or loss calculations

Pay range for this position is $67,000 - $83,000 but may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
