About the Role:
You will be part of Extend's Claim Analytics team within our centralized Risk, Analytics and Data Science team, focused on driving operational efficiency and managing risk by surfacing actionable insights and enabling data-informed decision-making. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Identify high-impact opportunities to improve claim operations, servicing and fulfillment processes by analyzing trends, surfacing gaps, and delivering actionable recommendations based on key performance metrics.
- Assist risk analytics by diving into claim performance and loss trends aiming to improve claims process and mitigate operational and financial risks.
- Cultivate a data-driven culture with your skill for storytelling with data, translate analyses into clear, compelling narratives and visualizations that enable informed decision-making across stakeholders.
- Partner widely with Analytics, Operations, Product and Engineering to optimize claim intake, adjudication and fulfillment product features for excellent customer experience and lower claim cost.
- Ensure data quality and usability through regular monitoring and data pipeline creation, while empowering the teams with tools and documentation to optimize claim and servicing products and policies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills who excels at sharing data insights to audiences of all backgrounds
- Intellectually curious, willing to think creatively to solve complex business problems in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- 4+ years of work experience as a data analyst
- 2+ years of experience in operations, claims, or risk analytics
- Prior experience working with operations team is a plus
- Expertise with SQL and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Familiarity with Python and Github
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a track record of working cross-functionally to make an impact
- Bachelor's degree from Maths, Statistics, or a relevant major
- Empathy and humility
Estimated Pay Range: $125,000-$140,000 per year salaried*
