THE ROLE

At Thrive Market, data is core to how we operate, innovate, and grow. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to play a critical role in turning data into strategic insight - guiding decisions for the Member Acquisition team.

This role goes beyond building dashboards or pulling reports. Reporting into the Data Engineering Manager, you'll help translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that shape business outcomes. Whether it's analyzing member behavior, identifying pricing opportunities, or supporting cross-functional initiatives, you'll bring rigor, curiosity, and clarity to every conversation.

You’ll be a trusted analytics partner to leaders across Thrive Market, connecting data to real-world outcomes, and helping teams make smarter, faster decisions every day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead high-impact, end-to-end analytics projects that inform key business and product strategies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders to align on priorities and translate questions into analytical frameworks.
  • Deliver clear, data-driven insights that influence decision-making across the organization.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, models, and datasets that empower business teams to self-serve and track performance.
  • Identify data quality issues and help resolve inconsistencies across source systems.
  • Leverage external and internal data to uncover category and pricing opportunities.
  • Support lifecycle, new member  analytics to inform retention, LTV, and user journey improvements.
  • Collaborate with Finance to measure and forecast the financial impact of product and business decisions.
  • Respond to ad hoc analytical requests with accuracy, efficiency, and business context.
  • Bring thought leadership to Thrive Market’s data practices — recommending new ways to enhance our analytical toolkit and processes.

Support the Member Acquisition Team:

  • Partner with the Member Acquisition team to analyze channel and funnel performance, providing insights into spend efficiency, ROI, and conversion across platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, Google, CTV, etc.).
  • Deliver actionable insights on campaign effectiveness and member acquisition trends, helping marketing leaders refine targeting, creative strategy, and overall growth approach.
  • Support budget pacing, forecasting, and scenario planning by building dynamic models that reflect media spend, net member growth, and CPA volatility.
  • Support integration of Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) by preparing clean data inputs, validating model accuracy, and analyzing outputs to ensure the Growth Marketing team has reliable insights for budget allocation and channel mix decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, with a strong track record of business impact.
  • MBA with a focus in analytics, strategy, or a related quantitative field.
  • Expertise in analyzing and optimizing member acquisition funnels across paid, organic, referral, and onsite channels.
  • Strong ability to connect acquisition metrics (CAC, CPA, LTV/CAC, payback period, ROAS, conversion rates) to business outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience integrating acquisition data with cross-channel datasets (CRM, product, finance, merchandising) for holistic performance analysis.
  • Proven track record of designing, executing, and analyzing acquisition A/B and multivariate tests (ad creatives, landing pages, offers).
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Experience using DBT and Python for data manipulation, transformation, and processing.
  • Ability to translate acquisition strategy questions into analytical frameworks and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Domo, Looker, Tableau) to support acquisition performance tracking and self-serve reporting.
  • Experience partnering with Growth Marketing, Paid Media, and Product teams to influence campaign strategy, measurement frameworks, and channel investment decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of incrementality testing, attribution models, and causal inference techniques in acquisition measurement.
  • Experience in eCommerce or subscription businesses is a strong plus.
  • Curious, collaborative, and highly self-motivated — with a bias for action and a business-first mindset.

BELONG TO A BETTER COMPANY
  • Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, life and disability)
  • Competitive salary (DOE) + equity
  • 401k plan
  • 9 Observed Holidays
  • Flexible Paid Time Off
  • Subsidized ClassPass Membership with access to fitness classes and wellness and beauty experiences
  • Ability to work in our beautiful office in Playa Vista
  • Free Thrive Market membership with exclusive employee discount
