We’re looking for a Lead Data & AI Engineer to architect, design, and evolve the intelligent analytics portion of our surveillance cloud platform. This spans from squeezing the most out of video and data coming off streams to building scalable data pipelines to deploying AI models and building agents that power insight for our customers.

What You'll Do

1. Design and implement scalable data pipelines that process large volumes of video and sensor data, using technologies such as Spark, Iceberg, Python, and Go, to support AI-driven analytics for our surveillance cloud platform.
2. Architect and maintain our data lakehouse infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable storage and retrieval of structured and unstructured data for AI applications.
3. Transform raw video and sensor data into high-value, production-ready datasets that enable advanced AI model training and real-time inference, supporting responsible and ethical use of AI in security systems.
4. Develop, deploy, and monitor AI models and intelligent agents that deliver actionable insights to customers, ensuring models are robust, accurate, and aligned with our People First and Responsible always values.
5. Optimize distributed storage systems and search capabilities to support real-time analytics and ensure reliable system performance for customers across diverse environments.

What You Have

1. Experience designing, building, and deploying machine learning systems and distributed data infrastructure for production environments, including managing large-scale data pipelines and ensuring reliable real-time inference.
2. Extensive experience with Python and Go for constructing data pipelines and handling large-scale datasets.
3. Experience with modern cloud infrastructure: GCP, Terraform, Docker, K8s.
4. Deep experience with AI model lifecycle management, from development to monitoring.
5. Extensive experience in optimizing large datasets, distributed storage systems, and search capabilities such as Spark and Iceberg.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $195,000 range. Pay is based on the level, location, complexity, responsibility, and job duties of the specific position and is just one component of Milestone’s total compensation package. Additionally, we offer an attractive benefits package that includes medical/dental benefits, FSA or HSA, 401k with 6% Safe Harbor employer match, paid parental leave, generous PTO (20 days' vacation, 10 days paid sick time, and 12 company holidays), fully paid Short Term disability policy, fully paid Long Term disability policy, and Life Insurance.
