Job Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.
The enterprise faces a landscape of evolving digital threats that require proactive identification and swift eradication to maintain operational integrity. This role bridges the gap between frontline analysis and strategic defense by mentoring junior staff and refining the automated detection ecosystem to handle sophisticated intrusions. Success is defined by the ability to translate complex forensic data into actionable security postures that harden the environment against future threats.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives)
  • Reduction of mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to respond (MTTR) by refining alert correlation and eliminating noise from benign activities.
  • Elevation of the collective team skill level through consistent mentorship and the development of standardized operating procedures for emerging threat vectors.
  • Integration of AI-driven anomaly detection tools to automate the identification of "low-and-slow" attacks that traditional monitoring might overlook.
  • Strengthening of the enterprise security posture by converting incident post-mortems into preventative controls and hardened system configurations.
  • Strategic delivery of high-level threat assessments to executive leadership that inform resource allocation and risk management decisions.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring)
  • Expertise in multi-source event correlation and forensic analysis to reconstruct the lifecycle of sophisticated cyber attacks.
  • Advanced proficiency with SIEM, SOAR, and EDR platforms to orchestrate rapid containment and eradication of identified threats.
  • Critical experience managing complex security investigations within high-pressure, 24/7 enterprise environments.
  • Collaborative leadership abilities focused on mentoring technical staff and aligning departmental goals with broader security OKRs.
  • AI Literacy applied to leveraging machine learning models for predictive threat hunting and automated behavioral analysis.
  • Clear, concise communication skills for translating technical forensic findings into strategic business impacts for non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Qualifications
  • Certification in GCIH, GCIA, or GCDA is highly preferred.
  • AWS Certified Security - Specialty or CompTIA Security+/Network+ credentials.

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum Experience: 4 years of experience in Security Operations (SecOps) or Incident Response.
  • Required Technical Skills:
    • SIEM/SOAR/EDR platform administration and analysis.
    • Digital forensic investigation and malware analysis.
    • Threat hunting and cyber threat intelligence (CTI) integration.
