Ping Identity is looking for a Customer Reliability Engineer (CRE) to join our team. In this role, you'll be a key part of our mission to deliver seamless, secure digital experiences for our customers. You'll act as a bridge between our customers, our support teams, and our core engineering teams, ensuring our global cloud platform runs smoothly and efficiently.


What You'll Do
  • Solve Customer Problems: Investigate and resolve customer issues on our cloud platform, acting as a technical expert for our support team.

  • Coordinate Critical Responses: Work with our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Support teams to quickly respond to critical customer issues with the right level of urgency.

  • Improve Processes: Define and enhance the workflows and processes used by the CRE and SRE teams to improve collaboration and communication with our customer support teams.

  • Drive Automation: Identify opportunities to automate and improve the tools and capabilities we use to address customer issues.

  • Strategize & Plan: Participate in planning discussions to identify and address areas for platform improvement.

  • Lead the Function: Help lead and coordinate the CRE function within the region, ensuring we consistently meet customer expectations.


What You'll Bring

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).

  • Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker.

  • Experience with orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes.

  • Experience with programming languages.

  • Proven experience in defining and implementing automation.

  • Experience using Git in a team environment (pull requests, branching, etc.).

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with scalable, distributed systems architecture.

  • In-depth knowledge of networking, including routing, security, and performance.

  • Experience with the Go programming language.

  • A strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM).

  • Experience with the instrumentation and management of automated deployments.

  • Experience in resolving customer deployment issues.

Salary Range 

$121,000 to $135,000 USA 

In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
