Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Credit Risk Solutions Specialist to be our subject matter expert for credit decisioning. In this hands-on role, you'll design and implement credit workflows, configure decisioning strategies, and serve as a trusted advisor to our customers. You'll work at the intersection of credit expertise and cutting-edge AI technology, helping lenders modernize their underwriting while maintaining responsible lending practices.

Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & Configuration (40%)
  • Build end-to-end credit decisioning workflows using Oscilar's platform for various lending products

  • Configure credit scorecards, policy rules, and decision strategies for customer implementations

  • Design integrations with credit bureaus, bank data providers, and alternative data sources

  • Create reusable templates for common credit use cases (personal loans, BNPL, SMB lending)

  • Test and validate credit workflows ensuring accuracy and compliance

  • Document credit solutions and create implementation guides

Technical Implementation Support (30%)
  • Work hands-on with customers to implement credit decisioning strategies

  • Configure AI models for income verification, affordability assessment, and risk scoring

  • Troubleshoot credit workflow issues and optimize performance

  • Collaborate with engineering on credit-specific feature requirements

  • Ensure implementations meet regulatory requirements (FCRA, ECOA)

  • Support POCs and pilot programs with prospective customers

Customer Advisory & Enablement (30%)
  • Serve as credit expert during customer onboarding and implementation

  • Conduct training sessions on credit best practices and platform capabilities

  • Advise customers on optimizing approval rates while managing risk

  • Participate in pre-sales discussions as the credit domain expert

  • Create knowledge base articles and credit strategy guides

  • Gather customer feedback to inform product roadmap

Required QualificationsExperience
  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience in credit risk, underwriting, or lending operations

  • Direct experience implementing or managing credit decisioning systems

  • Background working with credit bureaus, scorecards, and policy rules

  • Experience in fintech, digital lending, or credit technology preferred

  • Track record of successful customer implementations or consulting

Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of credit decisioning workflows and underwriting logic

  • Experience with credit data sources (bureaus, bank data, alternative data)

  • Proficiency in data analysis and basic SQL for credit portfolio analysis

  • Familiarity with credit regulations and fair lending requirements

  • Understanding of credit scoring models and risk segmentation

  • Knowledge of API integrations and data mapping

Domain Expertise
  • Deep knowledge of consumer and/or SMB lending products

  • Understanding of credit metrics (approval rates, default rates, vintage analysis)

  • Familiarity with modern underwriting approaches (cash flow, BNPL, thin-file)

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements across different states/regions

  • Experience with multiple lending verticals is a plus

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with credit platforms (Provenir, GDS Link, Zest AI)

  • Background in specific verticals (embedded lending, neobanks, BNPL)

  • Basic Python/R for credit analysis

  • Experience building ML models in credit decisioning

  • Relevant certifications or advanced degree in finance/risk
