Position Summary: TriumphPay is the logistics industry’s ultimate payment processing tool. TriumphPay allows brokers and shippers to completely outsource their payments process, increase their revenue and drive carrier loyalty. The Credit & Underwriting function at TriumphPay serves to mitigate potential credit risks across the portfolio through the approval and documentation of new relationships as well as monitoring of existing exposures.
TriumphPay is hiring a Senior Credit Analyst that will be responsible for managing new applications, reviewing existing accounts, preparing written reports, and other credit risk management tasks. The Senior Credit Analyst position will require a high degree of organization, attention to detail and initiative. A qualified applicant must also demonstrate a firm understanding of financial statements and credit risk.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate the credit worthiness of current and prospective clients through the review and analysis of financial statements.
Communicate with executive management of current and prospective clients to gain insight on industry and company trends as well as clarify specific items related to the financial analysis.
Prepare written credit proposals and presentations to various credit committees for deals up to $50 million in credit exposure.
Evaluate business structures and determine potential guarantees needed to secure position.
Ensures existing credit relationships adhere to covenants and conditions and that required information is obtained in a timely manner.
Reviews incoming financial statements on existing customers, updating financial spreads and communicating any concerns with management.
Ensures that all transactions either conform to the Loan Policy or ensure that all policy exceptions are disclosed in credit proposal.
Prepare written analysis of current and prospective credit exposures.
Communicate with Operations and Sales regarding pending/missing items.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, system enhancements, and procedural changes.
Collaborate with management to create and implement new policy and procedures.
Assist in training and development for new team members.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
The successful candidate will possess [functional area] skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following:
Bachelor's degree is required, with a major in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred.
5+ years’ experience in credit analysis or underwriting dealing with commercial exposures ranging from small business or middle-market to large, public institutions.
Understanding of fundamental financial analysis and GAAP accounting standards.
Experience in fintech or asset-based lending industry is a plus.
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
The successful candidate will possess general business, analytical and critical thinking skills and experience. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following:
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise recommendations on course of action.
Ability to read and interpret financial statements.
Problem solving and decision-making skills are essential.
Demonstrate initiative and be able to work independently and as part of the team.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
