The Senior Counsel provides legal advice to the various functions of Welbe Health, LLC and its affiliates. The Senior Counsel assists the General Counsel and the Associate General Counsel in the delivery of legal services to WelbeHealth.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Maintain current knowledge of key federal and state healthcare laws, such as HIPAA, Anti-Kickback, and Corporate Practice of Medicine
  • Provide legal advice on a wide variety of healthcare regulatory matters, such as privacy, patient care, and fraud, waste, and abuse
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts arising from a variety of activities and functions
  • Assist with a variety of corporate matters, such as overseeing entity formation and required filings
  • Complete all required documentation accurately in a timely manner
  • Protect privacy and maintain confidentiality of all company procedures and information about team members, participants, and their families
  • Follow WelbeHealth policies and procedures and participate in any required Quality Improvement activities, staff training, and meetings

Job Requirements:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited institution; state bar passage and in good standing
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a practicing attorney with a mix of experience in healthcare law, employment law, or corporate law
  • Law firm and in-house experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in contract negotiating and drafting
  • Practical knowledge of relevant federal healthcare laws (i.e., Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, HIPAA, Corporate Practice of Medicine)
  • Ability to proactively anticipate and identify legal issues and contribute to the development of strategies and solutions to address them
  • Able to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and overtime

Salary/Wage base range for this role is $145,399 - $191,926 / year + Bonus + Equity. WelbeHealth offers competitive total rewards package that includes, 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other qualifications.
