Senior Content Writer, Adoptions and Proposals

The Senior Content Writer is a strategic content leader who partners with Subject Matter Experts and cross-functional teams to develop high-quality, program-specific content for complex and high-stakes solicitations, with a particular emphasis on i-Ready. They lead the strategy, development, and maintenance of i-Ready content in the proposal content database, while maintaining a strong working knowledge of Curriculum Associates’ broader product portfolio to ensure that all products and services can be represented with clear, compelling, and differentiated messaging that aligns with company strategy. This role serves as a go to resource and mentor for other content and proposal writers, owning major i-Ready content initiatives, elevating the proposal content library, and delivering training that builds team knowledge.

The impact you'll have: 

Drive content strategy and collaboration with Assessment and Instruction SMEs

  • Proactively build and maintain relationships with Subject Matter Experts and participate in cross-functional work groups to understand evolving product capabilities and messaging during each product release

  • Develop clear, accurate boilerplate content that highlights the unique benefits, evidence, and outcomes of Curriculum Associates’ product solutions for use in RFPs and state‑level solicitations

Own major initiatives for content development and maintenance

  • Lead efforts to curate, structure, and organize i-Ready content about new products, enhancements, and special topics in Qvidian

  • Plan and execute large‑scale content refresh initiatives to keep i-Ready boilerplate and program‑specific content aligned with company, product, and style updates

Provide training, guidance, and content enablement:

  • Provide content-specific training and updates, including insights on solutions and emerging trends

  • Mentor and informally coach Content Writers and other contributors on proposal style, messaging, and evidence‑based storytelling grounded in classroom practice

Lead and contribute to complex, program‑specific proposals and rubrics

  • Serve as a section lead or overall content lead on complex, multi‑product, or high‑value proposals and rubrics, such as state-level assessment screener bids

  • Collaborate with Proposal Management and Proposal Writing teams to plan and/or write content, shape win themes, and ensure alignment with evaluation criteria

  • Flexibly take on various tasks to support the Adoptions & Proposals team and company objectives

Who we're looking for: 

  • Outstanding Communication Skills: An outstanding communicator, skilled in crafting and conveying compelling narratives about assessment and instruction product solutions through writing

  • Collaborative Expertise in Contexts: Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams; partners closely with proposal response teams to ensure our products are positioned accurately, compliantly, and compellingly in submissions

  • Detail-Oriented and Systems-Minded: Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and alignment in solution messaging and proposal content. Understands how to organize content for optimal use in accordance with department norms

  • Adaptability in Dynamic Environments: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, respond to diverse constituencies, and meet established deadlines while managing multiple projects

  • Technical Proficiency and Tools: Proficiency with Claude, Word, Excel, Adobe Pro, SharePoint, and other standard business applications; experience with Qvidian a plus

  • i-Ready and Psychometrics Expertise: Familiarity with the i-Ready Assessment and Personalized Instruction product suite. Deep knowledge of assessment and psychometrics a plus

Required Education and Experience: 

  • A minimum of 5 years in proposal content development, ideally within the K-12 education or publishing sector

  • At least 3 years of experience in the K-12 educational publishing or edtech industry

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

Benefits and Pay Range:

Pay Range – This role’s range is $69,250-$118,250.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
