Summary
A Staff Consultant’s primary task is to contribute as a team member on consulting projects. A Staff Consultant will be proficient in one or more of Analytics8’s core service lines and have deep technical skills in one or more areas. A Staff Consultant builds technical skills with a focus on broadening awareness of technical and business solutions.
Responsibilities
- Authors the creation of high-quality project documentation and other project artifacts, including project plans and written case studies detailing use cases and project specifics
- Gathers, interprets, and collaborates with engagement lead to scrutinize and refine business and technical requirements, identifying underspecified requirements and other design challenges
- Manages own time with regards to project scope, timeline, and personal schedule (e.g., time off requests, calendar invites)
- Provides reasonable level of effort estimation for individual project tasks
- Provides effective training and knowledge transfer to clients
- Supports change management planning and execution as needed for client engagements
- Collaborates with the engagement lead and client stakeholder(s) to prioritize work and communicate impact to scope
- Supports project team adherence to the Analytics8 Delivery Model (ADM)
- Collaborates and contributes as team member on projects, including collaboration with engagement lead and support of other consultants
- Submits timesheets accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with the ADM.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Applied experience and demonstrated ability of moderate level of complexity for multiple client engagements in one or more of the following core offerings:
- Analytics
- Data Management
- Data Strategy
- Governance
- Advanced Analytics/Data Science
- Proven intermediate level SQL ability
- Applied experience and demonstrated ability with Data Modeling of moderate level of complexity
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective test cases and perform data validation (i.e., QA)
- Proven ability to tailor communications and present recommendations and solutions in a professional manner to clients, including non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to identify project risks and opportunities for account growth as well as ability to communicate/escalate to appropriate internal stakeholders
- Awareness and ability to navigate complex client relationships or dynamics
- Strong ability to articulate concisely and accurately the business value of technical solutions delivered to clients
- Strong active listening, written, and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of structure, intent, and impact of language in SOW's
- Basic understanding of modern cloud-based architecture
- One or more tool or process-based certification
