We're looking for a Senior Security Engineer to help us accomplish our mission to improve and extend lives by learning from the experience of every person with cancer. Are you ready to be the next changemaker in cancer care?
What You'll Do
You will work within the Security Architecture team to define and enforce organization wide security policies and guidance. You'll play a key role in defining our security culture and advocating for secure architecture in everything from cloud infrastructure and networking to application design and CI/CD pipelines. We value new ideas and prioritize results, often acting as architects, designers, and engineers, not just advisors. Your responsibilities will also include:
  • Preventing infrastructure breaches and data compromise.
  • Help define and enforce security policies and guidance
  • Review new systems and designs to ensure they are secure.
  • Building essential systems to support secure infrastructure.
  • Staying current with the latest security research and ensuring rapid organizational response.
  • Championing security awareness and best practices throughout the company.

Who You Are
You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. You are naturally curious, exploring how systems work and what happens outside defined parameters. You are passionate about identifying and resolving issues with relevant stakeholders. You possess a strong foundation and in-depth technical knowledge in security engineering, cloud security and authentication and authorization controls. You thrive on tackling ambiguous problems and are self-driven to achieve results. You also have:
  • At least 4 years of security-related experience with a focus on cloud security
  • Strong knowledge and broad experience with cloud security in AWS
  • Strong knowledge of network security
  • Moderate knowledge of application security
  • Strong experience with infrastructure as code and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, Spacelift, etc.).

Preferred Primary Location: NY office
The annual pay range reflected above for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed in the job description. Salary ranges for other locations vary from the range reflected above. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus and equity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
