Job Duties and Responsibilities
As a Senior Cloud Automation Engineer - ORAN Systems you will play a critical role in the design, deployment, and management of our cloud-native Open RAN mobile network. This hybrid position combines cloud engineering expertise with a deep understanding of Open RAN architecture, enabling you to bridge both domains effectively. You will leverage your skills to automate processes, optimize network performance, and support the seamless integration of cloud infrastructure with Open RAN components.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee AWS-based cloud resources for Open RAN deployments
  • Design and implement Open RAN architecture with seamless cloud integration
  • Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters for high-performing Open RAN workloads
  • Automate cloud and Open RAN deployment using tools like Airflow, Ansible, and Terraform
  • Implement monitoring and automated incident response for minimal downtime
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, collaborating across teams to drive innovation

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with AWS or related cloud technologies, with a focus on automation and management


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of Open RAN architecture, including RAN CU and DU deployments
  • Extensive hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters and deploying microservices
  • Proficient in networking concepts relevant to Kubernetes and Open RAN (e.g., ingress controllers, service meshes)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to team challenges
  • Excellent communication skills for documenting requirements and facilitating discussions with stakeholders
  • Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes tools (Helm, Prometheus) for managing and automating operations


Salary Ranges
Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $125,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
