What You'll Do
Support cloud platform architecture, implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Translate high-level architecture decisions into practical engineering tasks and delivery plans
Drive improvements across platform patterns including networking, IAM, security, observability, automation, and deployment workflows
Troubleshoot and escalate complex cloud operations issues, providing senior technical guidance and solutions
Mature runbooks, monitoring strategies, alerting frameworks, support handoffs, and operational documentation
Identify platform gaps, technical debt, architectural risks, and prioritize improvement opportunities
Collaborate with product teams across multiple projects and business units to align cloud infrastructure with application needs
Mentor engineers on cloud architecture, DevOps best practices, and operational excellence
Work closely with Google Cloud, internal infrastructure teams, and external partners to optimize platform capabilities
Lead incident response and post-incident reviews for cloud platform issues
Establish and enforce cloud governance, compliance, and security standards
Requirements
What You'll Bring
Strong experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform in enterprise environments
Expert knowledge of GCP services including compute, networking, storage, IAM, Cloud SQL, and observability
Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools
Deep experience with CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Helm) and deployment automation
Deep experience with Kubernetes/ GKE, container orchestration, load balancing, and networking
Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Go, or similar)
Experience supporting mission-critical production cloud workloads at scale
Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance frameworks, and IAM best practices
Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions
Proven track record of mentoring engineers and driving architectural standards
Excellent communication and documentation skills with ability to work across teams
Experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and escalation handling
