Description
Transformative engagements utilizing Microsoft solutions is a key differentiator for MCA Connect. We focus on helping our clients achieve their competitive potential by facilitating alignment of customer executive team vision and objectives for an engagement, and value-stream process area deep dive workshops.
The Transformation Architect will have deep experience in transforming business operations from strategy through execution. A cross-functional knowledge of business operations and leading practices along with a collaborative team spirit is critical. This individual will also have a strong functional knowledge of D365 F&O / CE / ISVs, coupled with manufacturing and supply chain principles, and process improvement methods to enable client strategy.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating Alignment of Customer Executive Team vision and objectives for an engagement
- Coaching Executives on development of SMART project objectives and priority
- Providing direction in development of the KPI measurements of success
- Defining “what success looks like” after engagement completion
- Building a framework for managing changes in their organization
- End state defined: “what does success look like” when live on new system
- Supporting executives in exploring AI-enhanced objectives, such as using AI analytics to define success metrics and change management frameworks.
- Value Stream Process area deep dive workshops
- Examine business process flow with subject matter expert teams
- Identify requirements and user story scenarios for identified process - verified and ranked against objectives
- Develop overall systems road map and architecture with integration strategy, approach, and platform
- Collaborate with teams to identify AI opportunities in process flows, including automation and predictive modeling for manufacturing and supply chain.
- Assist in AI fit-gap analysis during requirements verification, mapping D365-integrated AI capabilities to user stories and objectives.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Actively participate in a team-based work environment
- Lead executive sessions with clients to define their strategic intent
- Conduct and lead team sessions to define current and future state processes and requirements
- Link future state requirements to D365 Solution functionality and identify fit and gaps
- Build consensus with the MCA Connect team and client team on future state solution direction and architecture
- Present deliverables to senior executives and project teams
- Train and mentor other MCA Connect team members
- Contribute to team discussions on AI integration strategies for future-state architectures, ensuring alignment with client needs.
Qualifications
- Expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 / AX functionality in the Manufacturing / Distribution industries
- 15+ years of working with supply chain, manufacturing, and general business consulting or equivalent experience working for a manufacturing company; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience managing and/or leading multiple Full Life Cycle ERP/CRM implementations required
- Strong process documentation and analysis capabilities
- Strong understanding of how ERP/CRM systems are designed and subsequent dependencies
- Strong presentation skills and executive presence
- Hands-on experience with analytics in D365 environments, such as using embedded analytics or Power BI for process optimization, KPI tracking, and identifying insights in manufacturing workflows.
- Hands-on experience applying AI in ERP/CRM systems, especially for process analysis in manufacturing or distribution environments.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience creating company level and process level strategy for a leading manufacturing company
- Operations or Finance / Accounting background a big plus
- C-Suite experience or involvement
- Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing
- Six Sigma knowledge
- Experience with change management and a demonstrated track record of getting ideas implemented
- MBA or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with AI tools for business operations, such as Microsoft Copilot or Azure AI, in the context of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
- Track record of implementing AI-driven changes, like AI for workflow automation or data insights in transformation projects.
